Ok, Time to hit it! New years weekend didn't make it into the schedule, darn this broken wrist. I wish I could say I broke it doing something cool, or dangerous, or otherwise thrilling, but no... no...
While taking the garbage out into the cold stormy night, where it would ultimately reach it's destination... the can... The mountain bike that was left outside, by me, where it does not belong, toppled onto it's side where it lay silently, UNTIL .... (dramatic sound: dum dum dum, followed by the shrilly shriek of a frightened female) .... Until I fell right on top of it, breaking my wrist and my hand! GASP! I know, I know... it is way to exciting a story.
So now, as of today, six weeks after my graceful landing, I am with out the misery of plaster holding my brokeness into it's correct alignment, and I am planning my first ride after a sequence of misfortunate events. Frank Raines will be my place, in my palace of 25+ year old broken down looking motorhome. I will bear the weather as it presents itself, and I will ride all of the daylight hours. Well, come on, anything after 8am, I do need to squeeze in coffee time, I am 30 after all!
I am really very excited. I have had so many set backs, too many set backs. I am more than ready to comand my red machine into the depths of the hills, climbing everything that gets in my way. This will be my first ride since my BIG accident, and I am thrilled to be back on the horsepower. Here we go 2007!
