The Beginning

About me

My name is JD Coffman, I have been riding for 2 years now and I am 15 years old. I started riding a Kx85 but outgrew it way to fast. So at the age of 14 I moved up to a Kx250F and started racing. I won a couple races during my 06 season, and I got on the podium a lot. I hope to continue my result throughout my 2007 season, in the 125 C class, I will hopefully by the end of the season move up to the 125 B class.

Competitive Highlights

I have many highlights so far throughtout the 2006 season. I have learned to ride a lot better and I am very consistant. I race everyweekend and place in the top 5. Also, getting more well known and getting support from sponsors.

Goals for the Future

I will move up to the 125 B class at the end of the 2007 season and get a feel for that, then hopefully try to make it to some big races and bring in some good results.

Bio

What inspires you to compete?

Watching the A and B class riders race. It makes me want to try and be as fast as them.

What has been your most embarrassing moment?

My dad forgetting to tighten my handlebars and then I went out for practice and on the first jump they flew forward and so did I.

Why do you like this sport?

The rush you get from riding, and how it somehow always blocks everything else out besides motocross.

Do you train? What does your schedule look like?

I try to stay as fit as I can by riding bicycles, and eating healthy. And also I lift weights at school and run.

What do you want to be when you grow up?

Since it is almost impossible to make a living off motocross. I would want to try to be a professional mini racer, and go into graphic design for some mx companies.
