Q&A - Competition

How did you get started?

I got my first bike when I was 4 years old. It was a PW 50. My Dad has raced Hare Scrambles since he was 18. I started out doing hare scrambles but wanted to try motocross.I was hooked from the very first time!

List your competitive highlights:

Racing Background and Experience • 2007 season- Raced six Hare Scramble events and six Motocross events. • 2008 season- Raced two Hare Scramble events. Primarily focused on Motocross events. Hare Scrambles results- two 1st place. Motocross results- six 1st place, five 2nd place, one 3rd place, four 4th place, four 5th place, four 6th place, three 7th place, one 8th place, one 9th place, two 10th place, one 11th place, one 12th place, and two 21st place between all classes. Motocross race season ran April 27th- November 2nd 2008. • Highlight of 2008- Overall winner in the 50 Sr. class at Southfork Dirtriders, Taylorville, Illinois. AMA District 17 placed 6th in 50cc Sr. class and placed 20th in 65cc Jr. class (raced only 3 months on 65). Annual Charity race to benefit Big Brothers/ Big Sisters that my family originated.

What are you planning for next season?

Goals • This Season- Qualify for Loretta Lynn’s. Get the hole shots. Stay focused. Eat and train to be in best competitive state. Continue to ride smart and remain injury free. Have fun and win. Ride year round, include indoor and outdoor tracks. • For the Future- Get a factory ride and race motocross professionally.

What has been your biggest accomplishment?

Learning by watching and listening. Realizing that my parents and others that are experienced in riding really do know more than I do about riding and racing. So now I try do my very best to follow their advice, listen to their lessons and guidance. Because I know that that everyone is trying to help me be the best rider I can be. I am learning that a great rider is a rider that rides smart as well as fast.
