Overview

 

How I got started

I was in my mid teens when I started getting serious about mountain biking. With the purchase of my first bike that had suspension (a Huffy Tremor) at age 13 and a Schwinn Moab 2 aluminum XC bike at age 15, I grew to love the sport. I did a lot of XC type riding and even raced in a few events hosted by local bike shops. In college, I started to get interested in freeriding and downhilling due to the discovery an abandoned rock quarry near my campus where riders had built jumps and a couple simple downhill trails. At first, even the smallest jumps and rocky sections scared me a lot, but my skills quickly improved and I grew to love to jump and ride fast over rough terrain. After graduating, I bought a downhill bike and have continued to improve my level of physical fitness and riding skills by competing in Downhill MTB races. In my 4 seasons of racing, I have raced in dozens of races in the Northeast USA, and traveled to races in California and Utah. My skill have improved to the p

Goals for the Future

My plan for next year is to race as an Expert level rider in the NORBA National Downhill Championship series.

What inspires you to compete?

I love to bike race because it gives me a great reason to push my physical limits and improve my abilities until I accomplish the goals that I set for myself.

Schools Attended

I completed high school as a homeschooled student and went on to graduate from Syracuse University with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
