Completed the 11 Mile B & O Trails Bicycle Tour this morning in a torrential downpour. There were severe thunderstorms and lightining all throughout the ride. Myself and a few hardy other souls left Williams Park in Brownsburg, IN for a tour through Brownsburg and Hendricks County, IN.  It was tough to see standing water and in general with all the rain on my glasses but I completed the tour. Afterwards we were treated to a BBQ lunch and won a dinner certificate as a door Prize. I rode with my new Azonic saddle and it worked great, nice and comfortable.

Until next time,

I would like to welcome and thank Fluid who has come on board as my latest sponsor. I look forward to representing and using your fine product at my future events.

We finally got some sun with no rain in Indy today. Got my butt out and did just over 17 miles on the MTB (road miles. Worked on gear selection. DId some pacing with road bikers who were at Eagle Creek for an event. Felt good to pass a few! They took it easy on me. After the ride, jumped off the bike and did 3.5 miles on foot. Overall it was a good workout and as I compare workout stats my distance and times are improving. My first race of 2008 is a couple of weeks away and I can't wait to represent my sponsors, Motor Tabs and Six Six One. Monday, it is back to work and it will be difficult to train but I will figure something out while I am gone. I also volunteered to be a Course guide for the cycling competition at the Indiana Senior Games in June. I feel we should all give back to the sport and encourage others whenever we can. Been contemplating doing a sprint triathlon with a Fat Tire Division later in the summer, but have to see how training goes.

Until next time,

Dave

Got no ridin' in today, rain here in Nap Town. Pretty depressing but it probably will do my knees some good. Weather is still iffy for tomorrow, probably will ride the lifecycle.

I want to thank sixsixone coming onboard as one of my sponsor, got a new pair of Dually spd's I need to break in.

Shouts out to everyone who added me as a friend, good riders are hard to find!!!!

Until next time,

Dave

Did 17.2 miles of road training riding the MTB at Eagle Creek. Worked the climbs and flats again concentrating  on gear selection and endurance. Probable won't train until tomorrow afternoon due to morning appointment. Possible rain so it might be a lifecycle training session (UGH!). Been enjoying this week of vacation by getting plenty of training in but  know that its back to work next week.

Just got back from training at Washington Township Park in Avon  IN (see New pics). Rode about 10 miles on the trails, from beginner to expert, working on technique and speed. It was a great day, sunny and warm. Saw only one other biker in the couple of hours I was there. Can't get better than that!!

Plan on hitting Eagle Creek Park this afternoon for some crosstraining, planning on hiking the trails.

Tommorow it will be either Town Run park on the Northside of Indy or might make the trip down to Brown County State Park in Nashville, IN for trail riding.

Thank you to MotorTabs for becoming my first sponsor!!! I am excited about this relationship and look forward to riding for you.

Until next time,

David Farley

Went for a road ride today at Eagle Creek Park in Indianapolis, IN since the sun was out and the rain moved on for today. Rode my Trek MTB and worked the hills along with the flats. It was a good workout. I followed up the ride with an hour of hiking on the trails. Tomorrow if it isn't raining, I will be riding trails at Washington Township Park. Training for the DINO Series Race #2 held at Brown County State Park, Nashville IN 6-2-08 and the Indy N.I.T.E Ride in June. Will be doing a combo of Road distance training and trails with hiking thrown in for endurace.

Until then, keep slammin' the dirt andmost of all, have fun doing it.
