Overview

How I got started

Hey Guys, My name is Joe Moore #591. I`m an enthusiastic Vintage Racer from Southern California on an `08 KX250F and an Assistant Director in TV and Film. I`m seeking any and all Rider support from your company that is possible. I stand out because I`ve been in and around and involved with the racing community since 1972 (I`m 50 now) when at 13 years old I worked an entire summer for a gardner to earn enough money to buy my first MX bike, which was a Yamaha HT1 MX (90cc). As a CMC member I raced locally at tracks which included Lion`s Raceway, Indian Dunes, Saddleback, Ascot, Carlsbad, etc., up until 1975 then took time off until 1982 when I bought my 2nd bike a 1982 Suzuki RMZ125. The same bike that Mark Barnett was winning everything on. Cut to 2008 and I`m now racing on my `08 KX250F and preparing my new `08 Kawasaki 250F to race as much as possible. I stand out because I race my four strokes in the +40 & +50 class and my bikes look showroom perfect when I pull up to the line for my next race. I`m known as the holeshot master nicknamed "Jmo". I stand out because I am the goodwill ambassador for the sport and for my age group. I am in the process of developing and producing a one-hour prime time TV Drama "MX" for a major network. I was the first to develop the Reality Series "Reality Racing, inc." (which became Reality Of Speed) I also organize and arrange private track rentals that see the likes of Erik Kehoe, David Barrett, Mike Brown, Dean Baker, Mike Tomlinson, Rob Healy, Rob Buydos, Rick Johnson, Casey Lytle, Greg Briles, Jimmy Roberts, Mouse McCoy, Jeff Emig to name a few who join in for some fast laps of practice under ideal circumstances. I am seeking your sponsorship to not only make my self a winner but to promote your product and prove it a winner as well. My plans for 2008-2009 are to put my #591 up on the podium in as many races as humanly possible. I had a set back in `05 due to an injury while practicing at Lake Elsinore that had me sit out several weeks while I mended. But, I`m currently training harder than ever to improve my race skills. I`ll be racing Vet 40+ throughout the rest of `08 and the entire year of 2009. My racing will take me to Glen Helen, Perris, I-5mx, AV Motoplex, RaceTown, Cahuilla Creek,LACR and PIRU MX.
Thanks for your time and the effort and I hope to have the opportunity to run your product exclusively on my race bike. Hope to hear back from you.

Sincerely Yours,
Joe Moore #808

Goals for the Future

My plans for 2006-2007 are to put my #808 up on the podium in as many races as humanly possible. I`m currently training harder than ever to improve my race skills. I`ll be racing Vet 40+ throughout the winter and the summer. My racing will take me to Glen Helen, Lake Elsinore, Perris, I-5mx, AV Motoplex, RaceTown, Cahuilla Creek, LACR, PiruMX,Amago & Comp Edge.

Bio

What has been your most embarrassing moment?

I believe it was back in 1972 my first race (age 13) when I was racing the 100 Junior class at Indian Dunes, I was concentrating so hard on passing for 3rd place that I didn`t realize that I had passed the flagman waving the checkered flag. As I raced on I could hear the roar of the crowd and a bike coming up on me. I looked back to see who it was and to my surprise it was a Maico 250.Well I was so proud of myself , that I was holding this guy off, that in fact what was happening was that the next race had started and he was the leader of the 250 class and behind him were 19 other bikes about to catch him and chew me up and spit me out. As the leader finally pulled along side me I heard him yell out get off the track your race ended. I then realized that people were yelling at me to get off the track not yelling for me because I was doing so well. I slithered off the track and hid out.I was so embarassed. That memory has stuck with me all these years later. It never goes away. What a moron.
