Boulder City NBL

So last weekend was the 2nd UCI/NBL Pro race of the year. This time we went to Boulder City NV for some great BMX action! The weather was amazing all weekend with no wind and perfect sunny skies. The track was in really good condition, and the only problem was the pro section seemed to be to short. I heard the already made the jumps longer I can only imagine how short it was before. I guess people just don’t understand how fast AA’s are now days ha-ha. I was riding really good last weekend I just seemed to have some bad luck when it counted. Here is how my weekend went. • Elite Saturday: In motos I finished 2nd, 2nd, 3rd. I was felling really good heading into my semi. I was in gate 8 and got a good run into the first turn. I was 4th coming out of the turn, and this is where things went downhill. Remember when I said the pro section was too small? Well, I over jumped the second set and barley made it over the third set. After jumping so high I got passed and wasn’t able to make up enough ground to make it into the mains. • UCI Open Saturday: In motos I finished 4th, 4th, 2nd. We had a good amount of riders so next was my quarter. I was in gate 8 again and was holding a strong 4th place the whole track. Down the last straight I knew I had to charge hard because the rider behind me was coming on strong. All the riders came across the finish line side by side and they couldn’t tell who got it. Even the scorers at the finish like didn’t know what to do. I looked at there sheet and they put the top two riders then question marks haha. So it was off to the video to see who made it. Unfortunately I on the outside of the video and they could not see me. So I was sitting out, just bad luck I guess? • Elite Sunday: Today I felt even better then the day before. In motos I finished 1st, 2nd, and 2nd! In the semi I was in lane 6 with two of the top pros on either side of me. I got a really good start and was towards the front of the pack. In the first turn I was sitting 3rd but that is where it would end. I am not sure what happened but I went down hard! Sine the turn was asphalt I got a good hole put in my arm. I will attach a photo since it was so cool looking. Yet again some rough luck! • Pro Open Sunday: Motos I finished 3rd, 2nd. Then in the semi I got a good start and was able to win it. In the main I was in Gate 8 again. My arm was hurting pretty bad from my class semi. Going into the first turn the rider on my inside was coming towards my arm and I wasn’t ready to take another hit there so I tapped my brakes and went to the back. I finished 8th So like I said it was a little bit of a rough weekend, but I guess that is racing! I was still felling really fast and put some good laps together. Need to look at the positive right? I have another race in two weeks up in Pasco Washington so I need to get healed up and focus for that! I would like to thank Avent Bombshell Shimano Tangent Fly S&M and 1lap2win training for all of your support! Talk to you soon. Tyler
