Overview

How I got started

I got started riding on my 3rd birthday. My father, a racer growing up, bought me a Suzuki 50cc quad. That escaladed into many minis all the way up to 1996. When I got my first big bike, a RM125 when I was 16. I started racing motorcycles that year and gave up years of playing ball sports.

Goals for the Future

My plans for 2006 will include any bike week races in Daytona area. I will attend the MINI MOTO in Las Vegas again. I will run the Quaker Steak and Lube races, which is going to be a national series. I will race all local pitbike races, including High Point and Steel City nationals. I plan on ending the season by attending the Texas Mini Pro Challege.

What inspires you to compete?

I have been into sports my whole life. I don`t think anything, besides my father`s drive, has inspired me to compete. I think I was just born with it.

Some Personal Information About Me:

I raced 125/250A until the spring of 2004. With juggling work and being a full time college student at the time racing was too tough to put as much time and money in as I like. I went from training 4-5 days a week to no training at all. The commuting to school and work took all my time and money. I had to hang up my boots for a little while and that`s what started racing pitbikes. iMX needed a nitch to put them on the map, being a new shop, and pitbike racing has helped us so much with exposure. I am now having everybit as much fun as racing little bikes as I did racing big bikes. Now it has turned into it`s own sport and I am glad to be a part of the growth.

Do you train? What does your schedule look like?

I am done with college now and have more time to ride and train. I take the pitbike racing more serious than most but that`s just how I am. I normally don`t do something unless I can do it at 110%. I had a 15 acre full blown MX track on our farm that many top pros have rode and trained on. I now changed it over to a pitbike track that is better than most tracks we race on. I ride 3 days a week and still go the gym. I am just getting back into my old routine with training. It feels good.

Why do you compete?

I compete because it is fun. I takes everything off my mind for that entire time on the bike. I love the satisfaction of winning. Once you taste it, it never goes away and you want to do it everytime.

Employment / Experience Summary

I am currently working at iMX. I have been the parts manager here going on three years now. I have a lot of experience in the industry.

Competitive Highlights

My highlights were racing at Loretta`s in 2000 in the 250B mod class. Finishing 35th overall after crashing in all 3 motos. I finished 10th at the Winter Olympics in SX in 2002. My week ended early due to mono. I now race just pitbikes. I have went to the MINI MOTO in Las Vegas the last 2 years making the night show but finishing outside the money in the 50 OPEN PRO class. I have won the Mid Atlantic Pit bike series the last two years. I won the Quaker Steak and Lube MINI MOTARD series this year. I finished 2nd at the PAX bike week race behind Willy Browning. I finished 2nd this year at the Steel City national pit bike race.
