Weekend One:

I went with my mom and grandma to the race track.  We got to hang out all day Saturday and watch people practice for the Florida Gold Cup race.  Some real big names around Fl are racing and it was cool to watch.

Saturday night was an invitational race.  I got to watch people from the Supercross (Matt Georke, Tyson Hadsell, Kyle Chisolm) go against hometown people (Bobby Currington, Matt McConnell, Ian Millett, etc...) for money.  I also got to watch Kyle Keylon who was just signed to a contract with the Butler Brothers.  The purse was 7,500.00.  It was real good racing.

I got a pair of goggles from Keylon and a jersey from Mike Picone (thanks guys).  It was so cool to watch these guys ride and meet them.

Sunday we got to watch the Flordia Gold Cup races.  We had a blast.  Mike Picone (got his jersey) was on fire racing. Malcolm Stewart (James Stewart's Bro) was doing a good job also.  There are real fast and good riders in Florida..Do you know one also...hhmm?

I want to say congrats to my friend Jorge for getting out there are trying to kick butt.  You did good man.  Cullen you tried hard and for that you deserve a round a applause.

This past weekend....It went.

Class was good...I enjoyed riding.

MOTO 1: 3rd            MOTO 2: 3     3rd overall........that is all I want to say.

Have a great week everybody!

Whew It was a warm weekend.  I went to class again.  This week I was not so good.  I got the track owner and teacher Randy Yoho.  My class was not bad because of him but because of me.  I wasn't really in the mood to ride.  My nose was stuffy and my throat scratchy.  I didn't tell anybody about it and because I wasn't riding right or well I got my butt chewed out good from Randy.  I will do better.......I better because he is watching.

MOTO 1:  Hole shot city baby!  I got the hole shot and then lost it just that fast.  I did however stay on the kids butt and went flying by him in the third lap.  I did real well and finished first.

MOTO 2: I am not sure what happened, I had to much gas on or body wasn't right...something.  I came off the gate fine and the WHAM! I went sideways all the way down the straight way til the left turn and then I slid left and made it without losing the bike.  I came out of the hole shot in 6th.  I raced my heart out.  I kept saying I want to win I want to win.  Well, I did so good that I came in the 2nd spot right up until the checkered flag.  If I had one more lap.......

I finished 2nd overall.  Not bad for a kid like me.

I will be at the track but not racing this weekend.  If you see me...look me up.

Enjoy!

I don't know what happened between my mx school and practice.  Something changed though because it was not meant to be my night.

I was all excited about winning the summer championship and then BAM I got hit with the kick me bug.  I fell in practice and then 3 times during the first moto and then 1 time during the second moto.  Sucks, big time.  I was ready to race and win.  I guess some nights are just supposed to be like that.

I am going to practice extra this week and then come back and show them that I am the winner they think I am not.  :-)

I have done it!  I have proven to myself and everyone else that it could be done.  I am a champion again!  I won the summer series at Dade City.

The mud was bad and I didn't really have to run hard so Dad told me to take it easy.  I listened and said that I was afraid of falling and so I rode real easy and finished in second place.  We only had one moto because the rain was so bad.

I am getting my trophy this weekend and I promised my Uncle Sean that I would give it to him.

Have a great week.  I can't wait to race again this weekend.

C ya,

Hot Rod

Oh yes...It was hot again.  I stayed in the shade and hoped that I would do well in class.  Mom says I did and Chris only pulled me once.  I rode hard and did try my best...it was just hot.  I told mom and she said welcome to Florida.  thanks mom.

MOTO 1: I got the hole shot.  It felt good to.  I stayed on the gas because this week I had a transponder on.  This tells me my fastest lap time and bike speed.  I didn't do to bad.   I stayed on the gas and went through a couple of corners a little hard but other than that it was smooth sailing this week.  I finished 1st.

MOTO 2:  I got the hole shot again.  I am riding well.  The track was terrible.  There were ruts, kickers, and and holes in the track.  It was not worked on a the half and so the track was horrible.  I feel bad for the guys behind me in the next races.  I ran a clean race, slower.  I enjoyed the track and maintained my speed for a 1st place finish.

1st overall  ....not a bad weekend.  I had lots of friends and family show up.  This week I want to say thanks to Brittany, Bri, Uncle Sean, Page, Kendra, and Shawn (spelling ?).

Thanks to mom for putting my words on here...from my mouth to the computer.

Have a good first week at school...maybe,

My class was good on July 28.  I got to ride with the 85's.  I am slower than them and I am going to really push myself to pick up speed.

Moto 1:  I was ready to go.  I got the hole shot and kept up a fast pace pushing myself to not give it up.  I almost lost it in a corner and then I got on the throttle and won the race.

Moto 2:  I bogged the clutch coming off the line.  I did not get the hole shot and had to struggle to get up to the top 3 during the race.  I managed to get a third place finish but not without having to work hard at it.  I am still proud of myself for trying hard.

Next week will be better.  My mom will be back and I will try even harder to push myself to do better.

Have a good week,

Hot Rod

Class wasn't so good this week.  I had troubles and mom threatened to take me home.  I wouldn't ride like I should: no speed, no right postioning, and no jumps without extending arms.  It wasn't very good.  My teacher put me with bigger bikes because he said I was a lazy rider that day.  I went faster, rode harder, did my jumps right, BUT started falling in the corners.  O well...just a bad class.

It started raining while I was on the track for practice.  It was lightning and so my practice was cut short and my class was cancelled.  It rained for a long time and then quit for us to sign up for racing.  After sign up it started raining again. and it really didn't stop all night until just before my second moto.

MOTO 1:  My friend Bobby showed up to help me at the line.  Mommy tried to help but Bobby took over and he did a real good job setting me up for the start.  (mommy wasn't mad because it meant she didn't have to dig in the mud.)  I rolled up to the line just before the gate dropped and WHAM!  I flew out of the gate and got the hole shot...o yeah, but no.  I then messed up and fell.  I took all the others with me and that was good because mom ran so fast she had me up ( I was picking up my bike but she yanked up and got it started before I realized it)  and I was gone before I realized that I was in a hurry.  I then rushed and rode harder and harder, falling once more in front of Bobby, until the checkered flag.  I got back to camp and mom, Bobby, Grandpa and Grandma were all telling me that I won.  O yeah!

I really thought that I was last the whole time but really I wasn't.  Mommy had me up and gone fast and I never realized that only two bikes were in front of me.

MOTO 2:  Sucks that it has been raining all night.  I lined up again and the hole shot lines were worse than the first time.  I was lucky to have Bobby again.  He worked on my gate and got me set up.  I then got ready to ride.  This time I shot off and took the hole shot again.  I rode hard and fast.  I made some mistakes in the corners because they were really rough and I didn't like the ruts to much.  I kept riding fast until the 4th lap when I fell.  Mommy and Bobby were right there...I think mommy was first but I can't remember.  I do remember Bobby saying you had a big lead get on it and ride hard out and you will be fine.  I was getting excited then because I thought I could win.  I spun out (called a rooster in motocross) and left them behind.  I did make it to the checkered flag in ......place.   Just playing, I got FIRST!

I got the overall win for the night and brought home a first place trophy.  My friend Bobby was disappointed that I didn't give him my trophy.  Don't worry Bobby...you will get it.  I just wanted to show it to my dad first.  Since he was working that night I thought it would be nice to show him.    Bobby deserves the trophy more than me anyway.  I didn't do it without his help.

Great job to me...Yeah!  I also want to say hi to my friends Jen and Mike before I go.

Peace,

Hot Rod

Yes! I am back.  I had a great weekend.  I practiced hard, slept hard, and raced harder.

School was good this week.  I got alot of riding time and worked hard at doing my jumps.  I believe that I am getting better at them all the time.  It is cool to feel like you are flying.

MOTO 1:  I made a mistake, again, getting off the line.  I had some catch up work to do.  I raced hard and got second place.

MOTO 2:  I got the hole shot and it was so cool.  I never looked back.  I rode hard.  Dad told me to back off a little, Mommy said get on the throttle more.  I just raced...that's all I wanted to do.   I crossed the finish line in first place and I was so happy.  It has been awhile since I did that.  I am going to start doing it more.

I have someone to thank for this week, Spencer McCall.  He helped me realize what I was doing in the one corner that I kept making mistakes on.  I really listened to what he said and I believe that I got better for it.  So, Thanks Spencer for your help.

I also want prayers for my friend Tyler as he goes through recovery.  He has a broken growth plate and I know it hurts.

That's it for now.  Have a great week.

Ride hard and do your best,

Hot Rod

Hi again from my home,

I had a pretty good weekend.  I pitched a fit because the Saturday class was not what I thought it should be.  Mom and Dad said suck it up or go home.  Guess what I did?  Sucked it up.

Moto 1: I was very excited to get started.  I got to talk and really meet Tyson Hadsell just before the race.  It was so cool.  Everyone should get the chance.  He is a pro rider that made the main events in supercross and in outdoors.  Cool.

Anyway, I got to the line and wow I was really excited.  I did not pull the hole shot BUT I did stay in the front and I rode a clean ride except once when I lost my head and didn't follow my line.  Mom gave me a direction (by yelling) and I actually hear her and did it.  I got back my spot and finished 2nd.

Moto 2: I stunk in my hole shot again...must have been a bad night for me.  I was in the middle of the pack and this time I rode hard the whole time and dug deep to get my 2nd place again.

Good night..I finished 2nd overall.

Have a good week,
