I've been around ATVs and off-roading my whole life. My first ride I was only a couple weeks old as my dad held me. Its been in my blood ever since then and is an important part of my life. I grew up and rode three-wheelers in particular and have always preferred them to quads. My parents purchased an 87 TRX250R for me when I was about 14 and thats when I got the performance bug. I loved it, but there was still something “weird” about it compared to the trikes I had always rode before. I entered my first hare scramble race with the TRX about 2 years later. I still longed to ride and compete on a three-wheeler though, and I did not do anymore quad racing afterwards. I spent the next couple years developing a network of three-wheeler enthusiasts from all over the globe and also in a regional level. With that network of people I've been able to get enough interest in three-wheeler racing again to have “our own” class in the new up and coming Southern Flat Track League series for 2007.
I wrench on my machines and do 99% of the work. Finding race parts for three-wheelers is difficult. For many pieces, you cannot open up your friendly mail order catalog and get whatever you need shipped to you via UPS. It is through this necessity I've developed mechanical skills to make some parts that I need, but are no longer available for purchase to the average consumer. This is the type dedication I have to overcoming the barriers associated with competing on a three-wheeled ATV. I challenge, and overcome even the most formidable odds because to me perfection is the only act worth celebrating.
