Do you train? What does your schedule look like?
My schedule of a typical week looks like this. Monday is usually my day off. Tuesday through Thursday is when I ride depending on weather I'll ride at least 2 of the three days. At least once a week I will ride my cycling bike,I usually ride about 30 mile or so. Friday is spent getting everything loaded for the weekend or sometimes spent driving to the track. Saturday and Sunday is when it all is laid on the line show casing your hard work through out the week.
What inspires you to compete?
My inspiration to compete comes from the competition. The other racers push me to better my self. I know there is always going to be someone faster and my goal is to train harder and push harder then the other guys, so I can become the best I can.
What do you want to be when you grow up?
My dream job of course would be riding my motorcycle for a living. Although this is my dream, in this sport it can be taken from you in a blink of an eye. I could see myself running heavy equipment if racing wasn't an option.
How did you get started?
I got started racing because of my older brother. He got a bike and I got a 4-wheeler. After a while he started to race and I wanted to race motorcylces also. I started by riding his bike a bit and wanted one also. Soon after that I had a bike of my own and we haven't looked back since.
List your competitive highlights
- Winning 3 straight motos at the NMA Grand National Championships in Ponca City, OK. in 2003. Unforunatly in my fourth moto I got taken out at the start and broke my back.
-Finishing 4th overall in the 450 Open class at Ponca City in 2006
-Finishing 2nd in the 250 Mod Int. class at the 2006 Dodge Amatuer National.
-Finishing 4th in the 125 Mod Int. class at the 2006 Dodge Amatuer National.
-Earning my AMA Pro license in only three races.
What are you planning for next season?
My plans for next year is to continue to train hard and put in good solid results where ever I go. I want to qualify for every AMA national I attend. I also plan on going to some amateur nationals and competing in the "A" classes placing top 10 at all of them.
What has been your biggest accomplishment?
My biggest accomplishment to date would have to be my performance at the 2006 Dodge Amatuer National. I finished 2nd overall in the 250 Mod Intermediate class and a 4th in the 125 Mod Intermediate class. In the 125 mod class the only riders who finished ahead of me where all factory support riders. It felt good knowing I am right there in speed with those guys.
