Thanks for the support! I have a busy schedule planned for 2009 so I need to get healthy again. My left leg has bugged me since April. I guess that's what I get for running a hard 10 miler with intervals the same day I drove home from Orlando and not letting it recover completely. I'm enjoying the free time now that Ironman is over. The race was enjoyable (minus the frustration from all the drafting - I wish riding clean paid off in addition to the compliments I got as I was all by myself riding), but the run hurt. The forced smile and seeing friends on the course helped me finish. I plan on trying again for under 10 hours next year - hopefully completely healthy next time and in addition to Coeur D'Alene on my b-day :P I guess I am a glutton for punishment!

Q&A - Personal

What inspires you to compete?

My Dad always taught me to make the best of what I have in life. I want to take advantage of being able to swim, bike, run, and learn from my friends - whether competitors, or not. Plus, I love to eat, so competing helps control my habit :)
