The 2009 Season is FINALLY HERE!!!
Its here, finally. The winter was great, snowboarding every weekend and many weekdays, couldn't get enough of it but its time for the sun to heat up my days and nights. As much as I love to ride a board, being in the heat and on the bike is amazing, in other words it rocks!!! I am stoked though, returning this season with some sponsors from last year which I am very thankful for and stoked about, Division 26 Clothing, Fluid, RB Components, Royal Racing, Utopia Optics and SIXSIXONE. Then we got some new teams on board with SDG USA, Azonic, Endurance Training Center and Rudy Project. All great stuff, all great companies to work with. To all of you, thank you all... for everything!
This upcoming year, i have two new rides for Downhill and Dual Slalom which i can not wait to go out there an rip it both racing and just soaking up the fun with nature by riding as much as possible. Who can complain about that. Through out the winter i have been training feverishly due to a heavy summer schedule, the DH and DS races coming up as well with the Time Trial series in Maine and then in New England are my targets for the year. Last year I was spotted in a few triathlons and this year I will be full bore in the sport. Competing in Maine, New Hampshire and Mass.
When it comes down to it, i love the sports, i can not get enough of them and competing in them makes things so much better. I am teamed up with Lindscott for road and has made things much easier for training, especially with a coach, I will be making a serious push to further myself in the sports of MTB and Road as well as Tri's.
Last weekend I made a trip to Cape Cod in search of some warmer weather and certainly succeeded, with two gorgeous days of warm weather to ride in, I had two great days of 2.5 hour rides outside. I encourage everyone to do the same soon as they get the chance, well the people who live in the wintery areas of the U.S and the rest of EARTH. Not only was it a beautiful day for a ride outside but how strong i felt for the first time being off the trainer (yuck). It felt very confident and secure for the upcoming year. It is going to be a good one!
The last thing I am going to leave with is, get out and ride, man, the economy sucks, who knows when it will go back UP, and honestly, who cares, just ride, ride to work ride to your friends houses, just ride, its fun and good for you and well, your own a bike! Who can complain, its that time of the year when I can start ride to school... Ahh I love this time of the year, it gets your blood moving with excitement to compete and just ride!
