Overview

How I got started

I was introduced to the sport by my father, a former Scottish Enduro Champion. he took me to races from a very young age, infact my first trip from hospital was to a race! I was given my first bike at 3 years old and started from there, I aspired to be a professional racer from then on but only started to compete when I was 13 on a KX100 in Scottish Championship Motocross.

Goals for the Future

For 2007 I want to come and race the full Supercross and Outdoor motocross Seasons in America. Its a big ambition of mine to do, and I am going to put everthing into it, I will make any sacrifices neccessary. My aims are to qualify for 75% of the night shows in the Supercross season, Make it to 4 main events and be the first Scottish rider since Jeff Ward to score points.

Bio

What inspires you to compete?

I just really want to win and be the best I can possibly be, I have a very competitive nature and I believe I have the desire and talent to succeed in racing. But I love being in a good battle, but you cant beat the feeling of winning, and also driving back from a race feeling tired and sore but knowing you gave it 110%.

What has been your most embarrassing moment?

Probably falling over on the start line before a race......when I was young and couldnt touch the ground so give me a break ......

How's Life Treating You?

Life is good, I`m living every boys dream to grow up and ride dirt bikes. I`ve sacrificed a lot for this sport and I dont regret a second. Face your fears, Live your dreams. But things like getting hurt at Anaheim 3 2006 and having to get shoulder surgery just make you stronger, I am now 100% healed and looking forward to 2007 and making it the best season in my life so far.

Do you like to travel? What's your best (clean) road trip story?

Well probably driving through Europe......each trip has a different story, but probably the one that sticks out was the Polish ISDE, when I woke up and going out to the car park realising my van was stolen...would`nt say it was funny but its one that definetly sticks out. But I`m very lucky motorcycling has let me see the world, taking to places you would never go to, also lots more I`d like to see.

Schools Attended

I grew up in a small town called North Berwick, about 25 miles south of Edinburgh in Scotland where I went to North Berwick High, It was a good place. Although the teachers were not very keen when you said you wanted to ride Motocross as a Career.

Competitive Highlights

Competing in AMA Supercross in 2006, and also Daytona 2001 on a stock 125 Husky! But also probably winning my first Scottish Youth Championship in 1998, then British 125cc Championship in 2003 and also a Gold Medal in ISDE in Brazil. But there is many other small victorys that I treasure and too many to list. Also being a member of British Trophy Teams, being top 5 in the World.
