How did you get started?
I`ve been an athlete my entire life until a few years into college where I started smoking cigarettes. I quit smoking around 3 years ago and gained a bunch of weight. I decided to start mountain biking to lose some of the weight and I`ve been hooked ever since.
List your competitive highlights
I finished the 2006 racing season with a third place in the Mountain States Cup Gravity Series in arguably the most competitive amateur category for the year. To achieve this, I raced Dual Slalom, Mountain Cross and Downhill and was rarely off the podium (but a few of my competitors also rarely missed the podium finishes as well). I finished the season on a strong point with a victory in the Downhill race at the Keystone Climax with the third fastest Amateur time (a couple of the Junior-X guys got me).
In 2005, I took second place in the Mountain States Cup Gravity Series in my category (Sport Men 30-39). I was on the podium every race weekend and decided to step up to the Expert class for 2006.
What are you planning for next season?
I am very excited for the next season. I will be racing in the semi-pro category and plan a rigorous off-season training program that includes mountain biking as well as motocross. My goal for the 2007 season is to reach the podium twice and generally finish in the top ten in semi-pro.

Saturday: 9th. 12:00 to 1:30 pm sign up, race ASAP
