What inspires you to compete?
The first year I got my Gary Fisher Level Betty Fun Hog One I raced my local downhill mountain bike race where I had a blast. I ended up cracking the headtube on that frame so I saved up and bought some better parts and they warrented the frame and I raced again the next year and got 2nd place. It was a great feeling and I had alot of fun and meet some cool people so I contuined racing.
Some Personal Information About Me:
I`m from Sandpoint, Idaho but right now I'm going to school in Missoula, MT. I`m always looking for new people to ride with. I love freeriding as well as downhill racing. I`m always building and maintaining trails in the area. I have built a stunt trail at my house as well as dirt jumps. I enjoy all forms of riding, trails, dirt jumps, urban, trials and racing.
Describe your style...
I ride alot of different terrain from dirt jumps to trials and everything inbetween. I really enjoy riding technical freeride trails with lots of stunts. So I carry my riding style from one form of riding to another.
Do you train? What does your schedule look like?
I try to ride as much as possible and vary my riding quite a bit. On the weekends I usually ride the lifts at Schweitzer Mountain here in Sandpoint, Idaho. I also ride alot of shuttle trails that my friends and I have built. Sometimes I ride urban around town and hit the dirtjumps at my house. Durning the summer between the races I visit Nelson,B.C. where I ride with my friends for a few days. And I always try to visit Whistler at least once a year.
Why do you compete?
I compete because it gives me a chance to hang out with friends and see who is faster. Because sometimes you beat them and sometimes they beat you. Its really cool to meet new people that share the same interests.
