Getting Ready To Kick Butt In 2009

What a great way to end the racing year, with another victory at Plattekill

Mountain. The course was classic Plattekill style, two ten foot drops, steep

loose shale chutes and off camber single track over snow, ice, frozen mud,

soupy mud, puddles and streams. Just about any condition was present. There

was no perfect tire setup, I saw every type of tire available, everyone was

looking for the perfect combination. Since the conditions changed every run

I just stayed with regular sticky tires. My strategy was not to crash since

this long and difficult course was going to take its toll on others. Playing

it safe paid off, not only did I beat My closest competition by 20 seconds,

I was less than a second off the winning pro time. This win coupled with two

others clinched The Plattekill Extreme Series Championship and The NORBA NY

State Championship for 18 and under JrX's to which I was the defending

Champion.

With another win in the Plattekill NYS State Championship, I keep the over lead with two firsts, two seconds and two thirds with one race to go. The course was another challanging one with several drops along the way. I had a great race run besting second place by 10 seconds. One more race in the series and the season left to go.

Whiteface 5 Kilometer Downhill Race... We boarded the Cloudsplitter gondola and tackled the expert bike course. The demanding run started at the summit of Little Whiteface, meandered in and out of many popular Whiteface ski trails, and concluded outside the Cloudspin Lounge. Wel encountered fast, open sections where speeds can exceeded 40 miles per hour, as well as a technical, single-track trails in the woods. This was exhilaratingly sick race. And I was thrilled to win it all in Junior Expert !!!

I was thrilled to win My third race of the four race series with a time of 2:34 which would have placed Me second in the Pro class. The Three wins and a third place Clinched The Series and The NORBA Vermont State Championship. Thanks again to all My sponsors especially Rotec Cycles and Magura Brakes
