Bio

Some Personal Information About Me:

I am 16 years old and have been racing mountain bikes for six years, I have been racing Junior Expert for three years and have enjoyed great success at every level. I am seeking sponsorship for the 2008 season. I travel to 20 or more races every year and have a history of representing My sponsors positively and professionally.

So far in 2007, I have won the US Cycling National Championship, the NMBS race in North Carolina, The Vermont State Championship Series at Mount Snow with two wins and a second. I am leading The New York State Championship Series at Plattekill Mountain with four wins, The Gravity East Series with Four wins, and The Diablo Domination Series. All My wins and Championships are in the Junior Expert Class.

In 2006 when I was 15, I won the Mount Snow Vermont State Championship Series with three wins and a third and I won The Plattekill Mountain New York State Championship Series with three wins, two seconds and two thirds, all at the Junior Expert level . At  The Diablo Domination Series at Mountain Creek I finished a close second. I also finished in third place out of three hundred racers at the US Open at Mountain Creek in Vernon, NJ.

In 2005 I won The Plattekill Mountain New York State Championship JrX Series as well as winning a JrX NMBS Series Race at Snowshoe, VA in the 18 and under expert class and finished seventh at the Mount Snow, VT  NMBS 18 and under JrX downhill.

Downhill has been my life, ever since my first time riding downhill. My Father and I have developed a strong bond, He also races 40+ expert. So we always travel together, practice and share racing lines. This has brought our family closer together, which is just he and I. He is also my mechanic and I am learning lots about working on my bike from him. While some say that downhillers are lazy, I am the exact opposite of this. Although I don’t like to pedal up hills, I can sure pedal down them. I have a crazy need for speed. I just want to go faster all the time, and have the work ethic to do so.

I believe that downhilling has given me a new look into things. I don’t need drugs to get high, I have my bike. Biking has also resulted in my increased effort at school.  Although this may sound funny, but my mountain biking work ethic has actually carried over to projects, homework, and class work. Although some times I do get a little side tracked thinking about the upcoming weekend and where I might be racing my bike.

I love every second of every race. All the way from hanging out in the pits to feeling the breeze on the lift, listening to that sound your helmet makes as you cut through the air riding as fast as you can on your race run. And then at the end of the day hanging out with friends and a good bbq..
