Just returned from racing in Crested Butte.  The weekend was great, except for the storms we had Saturday.   That just helped keep the dust down on Sunday.   After all the rains, Sunday morning was the Super-D race.  The first flat section became a nice mud bog, and one of the climbs was slicker then snot!   It was a really fun race and an excellent course.
After some work on the bikes, the afternoon was time for the DH race.  This was again, an excellent course.  The first half of my DH run went great.  Hit my lines with more speed then I could have hoped for.  The second half...not so good!  I came into one of the last woods sections WAY TOO HOT.  After pin-balling through the trees, and coming off the bike, my race run was shot.  The rest of the course was filled with jumps so I just had fun from there through the finish line.

It turned out to be a great weekend and with all the singletrack around CB, I get plenty of epic riding in.
