Overview

Background

My name is Gabrielle Trefelner. Many people call me Gabbie. I'm 17 years old and I've been riding for 11 years now. I have a 2004 Yamaha YZ 125 that I race in the Women's class. I got started racing motocross through my dad who got started by a friend name Jerry. The first time I rode a dirtbike I twisted the throttle wide open, jumped the driveway and landed right into the garbage. Being traumatized by my first crash, I didn`t ride again until I felt comfortable enough about six months later. When I got back on a bike I knew right there that I wanted to do this for the rest of my life. Ever since then I have always wanted to ride and it has never left my mind.

Goals for the Future

My goals for the future are being twice as strong mentally and physically wise as I currently in. I am going to try to succeed in qualifying for the 2008 Loretta Lynn's. I would like more championships on my belt so I am goin to work twice as hard to get them. I would also like to compete in more motocross races to keep my stamina up for future racing.

Bio

Why do you like this sport?

I love this sport actually. Its the best and like no other sport out there. I can not image myself competing and loving a sport as much as I do when I am racing and riding my dirtbike in MX. I can not get enough of the adredaline, rush, and comittiment that I put forth in Motocross.

Do you train? What does your schedule look like?

Training includes: Work out at school everyday for about 50 minutes.

Run at the local nearby track field until I reach approx. 4-5 miles.

Riding my bicycle everyday.

Eathing healthy: No soda or anything having to do with caffeine, no sugars and sweet or junk food.

Work out at local gym.

Why do you compete?

I compete to get faster and have ways loads of fun. If I get a good score in my race then I love seeing the boys ashtounded when I take off my helmet and they find out that they got beat by a girl. Thats the best. I also compete to have fun. I also compete to meet the amazing friends that I have now.

What do you want to be when you grow up?

I want to be a professional motocross racer and a Motorcycle Mechanic. It's a passion of mine to do both. I always love being around bikes. I am going to take it to the next level and make it my career.

Schools Attended

I have so far attended Port St. Lucie Elementary, Southern Oaks Middle, Forest Grove Middle, Lincoln Park Academy High School, Port St. Lucie High, and Martin County High. Due to moving so much, I just went ahead and got my GED. In less than a few weeks I will be attending Motorcycle Mechanics Institute.

Competitive Highlights

-My biggest accomplishment was when I won the Women B Florida Trail Riders 2005-2006 Championship right after I broke my leg and I am very proud of my achievement.

-One of the races that I competed in, I caught up and passed an A rider that starts four rows ahead of me. I am in Women B she is in Women A.

-The first time that I raced the Women B class, to my amazement I won.I was the only female rider on an 85 while the rest of the class were on 125s and 250fs.

-I won just about every motocross Girls 9-13 race that I competed in.

-I qualified for Loretta Lynn's in 2004 but due to injury I could not compete in it.
