Overview

How I got started

Mom and dad use to own a street bike. They would drop me off school while they went out to ride. They wanted to have something that the whole family would enjoy so my parents sold the street bike and bought the whole family dirt bikes. I was 3yrs and 11 months old when my parents bought me a 2000 Honda XR50. I had to have training wheels because I was to short to hold up the bike. We went to a local track 20 minutes away from home to learn to ride. As I became a better rider, I would ask if I was faster than another rider on the track that day. I asked my parents if I could try racing. This is where it all began. I have been racing ever since.

Goals for the Future

To participate in 65cc 10-11, 65cc 7-11 Open classes, as well as my second year of 85cc 7-11 class for both Sport Riders Association Colorado (SRAC) and Rocky Mountain Motocross Association (RMXA). I also wish to participate in several National Series Events and acquire the skills necessary to compete at the National level in 2008.

Bio

Why do you like this sport?

I like motorcross because it inspires me. I like the challenge of new tracks and learning new jumps. I also like to motorcross because I like to hang out with my friends and meet new ones. Motorcross is my favorite sport because I like the hard tracks like Lakewood (Thunder Valley, in Colorado) and learn to ride the ruts and breaking bumps.

Some Personal Information About Me:

I have an older brother, Brian that is 17 yrs old. I started playing soccer when I was in kindergarten and basketball in 2nd grade. I have two Siberian Huskies- Koda & Kaiya, two cats-Tigger and Snow and a bearded dragon named Buddy. On April 14, 2004, I broke my femur while practicing on my KTM Pro Senior. I wasn`t able to ride or play sports until mid September. I returned to motorcross September 19, 2004 and finished the last 4 races and ended up 9th overall in Class 2 (SRAC) out of 35 riders.

This year, 2007 I finished RMXA as the D-25 65cc 10-11yr old State Championship and 3rd in the 65cc 10-11 motocross class.

Music?

My favorite music is Top 40 and some rap. I like Usher, Nelly and Snoop Dog (G Rated version) and Nickleback.

What do you want to be when you grow up?

This biography was written by Evan on 5/13/05 in 3rd grade poetry... Joyful, responsible, excellent. Wish to be a firefighter like my dad. Dreams of being the best rider in Colorado. Wishes to help other people live longer. Who wonders about other people that are hurt , ill or sick. Who fears the dark and imaginary goblins. Who likes to play soccer and basketball. Who believes that he can do a good job at difficult math. Who loves to dirtbike a lot. Who plans to make a lot of really nice friends.
