Yesterday we raced at E-town. When we arrived at the track around 7am we heard that it rained for a few hours during the night. Which made and already wet track muddy and sloppy. When I saw the track I was happy that we put a new tire on the night before. We went out in the second practice and the track was so bad I only got a couple of laps in.

Race one we picked a gate right next to my buddy Gage Solis (116). When the gate dropped Gage shot out of the gate to take the hole shot and I was right behind him but ended up get tangled up with another rider and went down in the first corner. When I got my bike stared I was in 19th place. I stared working my way through the pack (around 15th) when I jumped a tabletop (coming out of the back section of the track) and landed on my rear wheel with the throttle wide open. I couldn’t get the bike under control and went down pretty hard. To make a long short I took my first ride in an ambulance. I don’t know how to explain it, but when I went down I fell off the bike with my hand on the throttle. I somehow fell on my rear tire spinning at high rpm’s and it got my stomach and left arm leaving some pretty nasty scrapes and burns.

I was determined to race the second motto. My Dad told me that the handlebars were bent pretty well and I should take the rest of the day off. In the meantime Rick Solis and Jerry Festenstine work on my bike putting on one of gage’s spare handlebars and got my bike ready for the second moto. Rick also noticed that my chest protector was a tad bit to small for me. Some guy standing there went a got his sons old chest protector and gave to too me. Thanks whoever you are. I lined up in the second moto and got a good start (8th) and completed the race in 14th position giving me an overall finish of 16th not to bad for getting a DNF in the first moto. I want to thank Rick and Jerry for taking the time to get my bike ready. You guys are the best!!!! I also want to thank all of the concerned parents and races for coming to see how I was. I don’t know what’s better the racing or the great people in the racing community.

On November 20 we went to Atco Motocross park 14 points out of 3rd place for the 50cc stock class. The day before the race my dad took me to my friend Gage's house. While we were practicing on our 65's, Jesse Festenstine and his father put a fresh top end on my Cobra. I didn’t get to ride it until practice the next morning. After practice my dad asked how the bike was pulling and I told him that I thought I could ride up front with the new top end. In the first race I took the hole shot and rode up front for a little while before falling to 2nd place. The leader broke his chain on the third lap, which allowed me to take the win in the first moto. In the second Moto I took the hole shot again (Thanks to Mike May) and rode up front for a bit before dropping to 2nd place, I went on to finish in 2nd which gave me the overall WIN. I was so stoked. I ended up earning 20 points for the day, which put me into 3rd place for the year. With one race left I have to race like I did last weekend to hold on to my 3rd place points. To top the day off my buddy Gage finished in second place and held on to has 1st place points in the 50cc stock (4-6) class. Jesse finished 1st in his class and Mike May finished 2nd in his class.

I would like to thank Rick Solis (Gage’s father), Jesse and Jerry for getting my bike ready for the race, if it wasn’t for them my bike probably wouldn’t have made it through 2 motos.

On Memorial Day with the temperatures in the upper 90’s Eric won his fist race ever in the 50cc oil injected class. In the second moto he placed second putting him in second place for the day. Eric is currently in second place in the point standings for the year. Eric also raced in the 50cc stock class. He finished in fifth place in the first moto and sixth place for the second moto putting him in sixth place for the day. With Eric’s consistent top ten finishes he moves in fifth place for the point standings.

Was my 1st time riding in a H/S I placed 6th in my class and 23 out of 78 riders
