So I should be getting my Epic finished up this weekend. I am expecting my new bottom bracket to come in either tomorrow or Saturday so I can finish up the bike on Sunday. Needless to say, I am really excited. I can't wait to ride my pride and joy again, especially with my new SRAM X0 rear mech and twist shifters on it... hehe...

OK. Figure I should update you all on what I will be racing during 2007. Mostly I will be sticking with the Mid Atlantic Super Series races ( listed here). In addition to that I will be competing in the Wilderness 101 which is August 4th (more info here). I am super-excited about that race, since a bunch of my older friends have been pressuring me to do it for two years now. Oh, and on the MASS schedule, whenever there is a Marathon and XC race in the same day, I will be racing the Marathon. I really like endurance riding...
Peace, Jake

So I can just feel the season starting to begin. My local racing schedule was just posted on the series website, I'm beginning to think about training schemes for the year, etc. etc. I am starting to ride more and more every week. Except there's one minor problem. My bike is in no less that 7 pieces. That's 2 wheels, Drive side crank arm, non drive side crank arm, bottom bracket, and cable housing, and rear deraillure. This sucks... I just want my bottom bracket to not be defective from the factory so I can assemble my bike and ride it. Not that I particularily mind riding the SS for a while...
