How I got started
My racing background covers virtually all areas concerning bicycle riding. BMX, Downhill MTB, Triatholon, Road Cycling, XC MTB; if it has two wheels I`ve raced it. My dad got my brother and I started early (age 8). We knew how to drop the hammer but we also knew how to rest and not over train. It`s important to know your limitations and push beyond your normal comfort zone. Stretching your horizons now and then is never a bad thing. I'm currently riding intermediate class BMX about to push into the expert class. I love to ride and it shows. I'm still trying to figure out how to go through life with a full face helmet on all the time.
Goals for the Future
My goals for next season are to continue to improve in my results and ride with more consistancy and to ride in bigger races against better riders. Only by going beyond your normal `comfort-zone` do you ever grow as a rider and racer. The team that I will be riding for next year has grown into something over the last two years with bigger and better sponsors. I also want to bring a BMX track to the local area and for it to become the premiere racing venue in the Mid-Atlantic. I am currently soliciting local town governments trying to find a place to put a new BMX track. The sport is ready to explode and it needs a place to go. The most important goal is to continue to help/coach the younger riders on my team become the best riders that they can be. After all, they are the future of the sport and the best way to grow the sport is by giving back. Riding has given me so much happiness over my lifetime that I want others to experience it.
