Well, had my first race of the year on Saturday. The day started really bad with me showing late and missing the first practice. I barley make it thru tech and got the tire warmers on when the second practice starts. In a rush I grabbed my helmet with a dark screen, now this was bad due to it being over cast and already just grey skies. So I go out to see how this track is. Well it is bumpy as all heck and after 2 laps with almost 0 visibility I pulled back in the pits. I then spent time redoing my suspension so it would handles batter on a bumpy track. I head out and do ok as this was the first time I could try to push the bike. I did a 1.55 lap (track record is 1:33) and found my line this time out.
Ok, so now we move to race one Novice GTU (600’s). I once again messed up with wearing a new set of leathers for the race (never had them on since sizing them in Germany). After 2 laps it felt like 30 pound weights sitting on my shoulders. I started 34 and finished 26(37 started) with a lap time of 1:50.
Second race of the day, Novice GTO (1000’s). Yes, I raced a 600 with 1000’s. Hey time on the track is time on the track in my mind. I started 35 and ripped if up from the start. It felt great with the old leathers on. I had my mojo rolling for this race. I finish 16(36 started) with a best for the day of 1:48.
Now onto my endurance race. It was the Middle weight class. I did well there also with a 1:49 and finishing in 8th. All in all it was a great day of racing for me. I look to better my times as I learn these tracks and set the bike up even better for racing on other than ideal conditions.

Well, got to hit the new track on 11 April with the bike motor work done. The track is sick. It was newly finished so not as much grip as will be once our first race happens but it was still nice to learn the lines needed to go fast. The track flows up and down with the terrain and it was fun to see how it compared to German tracks I am used to. I liked it alot other than the high winds that limited out ability to keep tires at full temp. The bike pulls like a bat out of hell. I was pulling it up in 3rd gear all over the place and forgot I was on stock gearing so with 1 down in front and 1 up in back I will be able to push alot harder and keep the bike in 2nd in the slowest turn not 1st.
I am now prepping for 25-26 April the start of our new season at Pueblo. I hope to learn the track fast and get up front and stay there. Lets see how well it goes for me.

Well, I dropped off the bike on Saturday and they will be starting on Stage II of my build. They will be installing the new bodywork, painting it and building the motor for a few more ponies. This has me on pins waiting to see the dyno chart once it is all done. I am so ready for my first time on the track here in Colorado. Lets see what happens on 11 April at High Plains Raceway.

Well, I am headed back up to Faster Motorsports this Saturday to drop the bike off for more building. I will have new bodywork installed and painted as well as having my motor built up to a supersport legal race engine. I cann't wait to get it all done and see just how fast this thing can be.
Also am ordering new engine cases from Vortex as well as clipons and few other odds and ends. Then if enough time permitts before our first trackday I will resend out the front forks to racetech to get 1.0 springs installed. I will post dyno sheets once all is done on the motor.

Well, I just picked up the bike from Faster Motorsports in Denver CO and it came out with 109.60 hp and 44.37 ft-lbs. So that power was made a mile above sea level, got to love living in Colorado( power is way down from Germany). So next on my list is a Supersport legal engine build to make around 118 hp and 55 ft-lbs and fresh paint with all new sponsors listed. I will have this all done before hitting the new track(High plain raceway) on 11 April 09 for training I hope.

Here we are, already in 2009. Team Paradise racing spent the 2008 season successfully campaigning the German National DMSB Supersport B series. At the same time planning for our move back to the USA.
In 2009 the team has decided to expand the horizons and run multipul classes. At this point in time, the MRA is my new home for racing and we are looking to be competitive with other 600cc machines in 2009. The MRA currently has the following tentative schedule: 4/11 - 4/12 MRA Schools Saturday and Sunday HPR 4/25 - 4/26 MRA Race #1 at PMP 5/9 - 5/10 MRA Race #2 at HPR 5/23 - 5/25 MRA Races #3, #4 at MPH (*Memorial Day DoubleHeader) 6/6 - 6/7 MRA Race #5 at HPR 6/27 - 6/28 MRA Race #6 at PMP 7/11 - 7/12 MRA Race #7 at PPIR 7/25 - 7/26 MRA Race #8 at HPR 8/8 - 8/9 MRA Race #9 at HPR 8/29 - 8/30 MRA Race #10 at HPR 9/19 - 9/20 MRA Race #11 at PPIR
Look for 831 to be on the track racing in Colorado for 2009.
