Overview

How I got started

I would go and watch my 6 year old cousin race and decided it was something that I would like to do. So I started racing in July of 2005 at the age of 16.

Goals for the Future

To continue to race the local events and race as many Regional and National Events as possible. Continue to improve my racing ability as well as my District and National Standings.

I graduated from High School in June 2007 and started attending Wyo Tech in West Sacramento September in 2007. I get one week off every 3 months and head home to race at my home track in Apple Valley, CA, since I have no time at school and I also am now working too. Since January 2008 I was able to race in March on the 21st, 25th and 28th before heading back up to school. I finished my first 9 month courses and graduated on June 20, 2008 and came home to race again on the 24th and 27th before heading back up to start my last 9 month courses at Wyo Tech. I am finishing my specialty classes now at Wyo Tech and hope to get experience working in that field after I graduate in June 2009. BMXing will always be in my blood and I will continue to ride with PRIDE.

Bio

What inspires you to compete?

Meeting different people, having fun and getting exercise at the same time.

Do you train? What does your schedule look like?

I try to ride my bike every day after I get out of my courses at Wyo Tech and before I go to work. I don't have alot of free time as I am still trying to keep my grades high and working. My schedule is as follows: I get up at 5am, shower, dress (yes, we have uniforms that are designed for which courses you are in), eat and leave the apartment by 6am to get to school. Wyo tech starts at 6:30am and I am in classes until 4:00pm, then I get to fight the traffic up here and get home to change grab something to eat and head off to work then I finish work go back to the apartment and shower, study, eat or just go to bed and start again the next day. Classes run monday through friday but studing and working continue. So somewhere in there I ride my bike and on free days my cousin and I ride our motorcycles or I go and watch her race her motorcycle as being a student doesn't have any extra money for my Nationals, even though I want to try and get to one this year.

What do you want to be when you grow up?

I plan on having my own shop where I will be able to design and build cars from the ground up and maybe do some bike designs too.

Competitive Highlights

Qualifing for and racing in the Nationals, Race for Life's, State Races, Redline Cup, and all local events. Racing in Phoenix at the Southwest Nationals and making it to the finals to be taken down hard at the starting hill but still finished the race.  I have placed from 1st to Qualifier in all of my races and even racing experts when they don`t have my class. I love to ride my bike`s. I have raced at the Lumberjacks Nationals and came home with a 1st for Friday and a 4th on Saturday and 2 2nds for open and class for Sunday and raced at the Dacono National where I got 2 - 2nd`s and a 4th plus a received my ABA Open Jacket which was cool, even though it was the only time that the BMXer Magazine didn't take any pictures of all of us who did receive our jackets that day. I have had my left hand broken at the State Race Finals while flying over the finish line trying to come in first and my hip dislocated a couple times but I still finish my races. I was always brought up to finish what you start unless of course medic's say something different.

Since finishing High School and starting at Wyo Tech I have had to only look forward to racing locally at my home track in Apple Valley when I get my breaks every 3 months, but I am trying to race at least one National this year, 2008, and than after June of 2009 I plan on working and racing where ever I get I job in my career field.
