PARKINSON BEATS BURROW TO EARN SEMIFINAL BERTH IN QUIKSILVER PRO FRANCE

HOSSEGOR, France
(Friday, Sept. 28, 2007) –Defending Champion Joel Parkinson
(AUS) beat World No. 3 Taj Burrow in the Quarterfinals to become one of four
surfers through to the Quiksilver Pro France Semifinals today.

Held in three foot (one metre) waves at La Graviere, the ‘heat of the day’
saw Parkinson and Burrow trade barrels and airs throughout their 30-minute
duel.

“Taj put on quite a performance out there, he was on fire,” Parkinson said.
“I was watching his air reverses from the back and I just kept thinking, ‘Oh
here we go, he’s going to get me again.’ I was just lucky to get that really
good one that was able to just get me the heat.”

Parkinson’s ‘really good one’ was a deep tube followed by a 360 air for a
9.50 ride.

“It was one of the biggest waves to come through this morning and I was in the
right spot,” Parkinson said. “It looked just like a perfect little Snapper
barrel, like at home. It ran off perfect and I just sat there in a perfect
little spot and was able to get that little air section at the end.”

The early elimination of Burrow, Kelly Slater (USA) and Andy Irons (HAW) has
created an opportunity for World No. 5 Parkinson to gain some ground in the
ratings.

“I’m where I want to be,” Parkinson said. “It’d be better if Mick would
have lost also, but heats go on and maybe I’ll meet him in the final and have
the same result as last year.”

World No. 1 Mick Fanning (AUS), who sits on the opposite side of the draw from
Parkison, showed no signs of slowing down in his Quarterfinal heat against Neco
Padaratz (BRA). Padaratz posted huge scores throughout the early rounds of the
event but Fanning’s 9.50 and 8.17 wave scores left him needing a combination
of excellent wave scores to win.

“Neco is a great competitor, he always gives it his all and he has just been
surfing great this event,” Fanning said. “I think he’s had a 9.0 in every
heat. I knew he was going to be very tough, especially in these conditions so I
was just stoked to get a good start and keep working on that.”

Fanning’s World Title run has seen him finish in the Quarterfinals or better
in five of six events this year. He will meet fellow Australian Troy Brooks in
the Semis.

“Yeah Brooks is on the cusp, he’s been surfing great, really going for it,”
Fanning said. “It’s going to be fun, he’s a good friend too.”

Brooks beat Brazil’s Rodrigo Dornelles in conditions Brazilian surfers
typically thrive in. His upcoming Semifinal berth is the best result Brooks has
had on the Foster’s ASP World Tour.

“I’ve had a few quarterfinals, but have never advanced out of them like this
one,” Brooks said. “To finally do it against Rodrigo, in these waves is
pretty exciting.”

Brooks is also excited about his upcoming heat against Fanning.

“I’m definitely looking forward to surfing against Mick next heat,” Brooks
said. “It’s always good to go up against the best, because it lifts your
surfing as well. Tomorrow we’re going to have the pick of the tides and sort
of play it by ear, depending on what’s happening up and down the beach, so
hopefully we’ll get the right waves and have a good end to this event.”

South Africa’s Greg Emslie edged out Raioni Monteiro (BRA) in their
Quarterfinal clash. Monteiro has surfed extremely well throughout the event,
but failed to find the 8.17 he needed to change the situation this afternoon.
Emslie advanced out of the Quarterfinals for the second time in his career.

“To win that heat was great for sure,” Emslie said. “Each heat I’m just
enjoying myself more and more. I’m starting to think about it more in my head.
I’m a lot more calm and enjoying myself. I’m stoked to have beaten Raoni,
he’s been in form. I’m just glad and hope things can continue to go my way.”

Emslie, who is currently rated 35th, will meet Parkinson in Semifinal 1.
Despite the daunting draw, Emslie is taking it all in stride.

“Once you get down to the quarterfinals and semis I think you just go out
there and free surf,” Emslie said. “You’ve got to really blow up to win a
contest these days so you can’t be going out feeling nervous you have to be
pumped and relaxed. That’s what I’m going to do, go wait for good waves and
free it up.”

A call on finishing up the final three heats of the event will be made at La
Graviere at 11am. The contest will either wrap up tomorrow, Saturday, Sept.
29th or Sunday, Sept. 30th.

HOSSEGOR, France
(Saturday, Sept. 22, 2007) – No official Quiksilver Pro

Team Hawaii, comprised of Andy Irons and Fred Patacchia overcame Team Australia
– Bede Durbidge and Dean Morrison – in the final to pocket the US$4000 prize.
Currently sitting in last place on the Foster’s Surf Showdown ratings, Hawaii

said.

NAB Beachley Classic, Manly, Sydney
Stop No 5. of 7 on the 2007 ASP Women's World Tour
Manly Beach, Sydney, Australia
October 9- 14, 2007

STAKES RAISED FOR TOP TIER SURFERS AT NAB BEACHLEY CLASSIC

COOLANGATTA, Australia
(Saturday, Sept. 22, 2007)- The ASP Women’s World Tour
enters the home straight next month, which will see the world’s Top 17 Women
dip into the richest winnings pool on the top tier tour at the NAB Beachley
Classic. The event will be held at Manly Beach, Sydney, Australia from October
9-14, 2007.

The brainchild of 7X ASP World Champion Layne Beachley (AUS), the second annual
NAB Beachley Classic holds a prize money purse of US$100,000 as well as a 20%
increase in ASP ratings points, making it the most lucrative stop on tour.

With just three events remaining on the 2007 competition calendar, the Manly
event will prove pivotal in this year’s World Title race.

“The prize money is obviously a fantastic plus but it will be the bonus ASP
ratings on offer that could make or break a girl’s standing,” Beachley said.
“With the top four girls so close on the ratings, this event could produce
some of the fiercest surfing we’ll see on tour all year.”

Securing a new sponsor in the form of National Australia Bank, Beachley who is
currently rated World No. 7, has achieved her goal of exposing women’s surfing
to a mass market.

“This event has been one of the biggest challenges of my life,” Beachley
admitted. “I am really grateful for all the support and interest from our new
sponsor and I feel proud that with the help of NAB, I have been able to put an
event of consequence on the ASP Women’s World Tour.”

Defending NAB Classic Champion Stephanie Gilmore (AUS) who won the event as a
wildcard in 2006, enters the event as a top tier surfer for the first time this
year, rated World No. 4.

Gilmore spent the majority of 2007 as the ASP ratings leader, losing her World
No. 1 spot to Samantha Cornish (AUS) at the ASP Women’s World Tour event held
in Spain last month. Following her win at Manly last year, Gilmore will be
riding a wave of confidence as she sets out to recapture the ratings lead at
the next event.
“Winning my second ASP World Tour event as a wildcard at Manly last year was a
real boost for me,” Gilmore said. “I always feel comfortable in places I’ve
performed well at before, so I’m really looking forward to what Manly will
produce for us and I’ll be using last year’s experience to my advantage.”

Should Gilmore take top honors in Sydney for the second year running, the ASP
World Tour rookie will have a 20 percent boost over her rivals on the ASP
ratings, which would take the edge off going into Hawaii.

“I think if anyone in the top four gets a win and breaks away from the pack,
the additional points will make it difficult to catch up,” Gilmore said. “For
the leader it’s an ideal position to be in and hopefully that’s going to be
me.”

Current World No. 1 Samantha Cornish (AUS) has a 12-point lead over World No. 2
Silvana Lima (BRA) going into this event and although the diminutive Australian
surfer has enjoyed her time in the sun recently (winning in Brazil and reaching
the Semifinals in Spain), Cornish is well aware her ratings lead is under
threat.

“We’re all super close on the ratings right now so I am not getting ahead of
myself,” Cornish said. “I really want to win but I know it will come down to
Hawaii, so I am just remembering to have fun and take it one heat at a time.”

The NAB Beachley Classic kicks off with the Oakley Wildcard Trials on Monday
October 8, 2007 when one lucky surfer will have the opportunity to compete
against the World’s Top 17 female surfers in this ASP Women’s World Tour
event.

The event waiting period extends from October 9- 14, 2007 and needs just two
full days of surfing to be completed.

QUARTERFINALISTS DECIDED AT OAKLEY NEWPORT BEACH PRO PRESENTED BY JEEP

NEWPORT BEACH,
California (Friday, Sept. 21, 2007) – The Oakley Newport Beach
Pro presented by Jeep has narrowed it down to the final 16 competitors
following a stunning morning of performances to complete Round 5.

The Association of Surfing Professionals (ASP) World Qualifying Series (WQS)
2-Star event kicked off in beautiful, glassy two-to-three foot (1 metre) waves
at 56th Street this morning, creating the ideal canvas for the solid mix of
established veterans and exciting up-and-comers to showcase their respective
talents.

Kilian Garand (Santa Barbara County, CA) posted the highest heat total of the
morning, a 13.80 out of a possible 20, dispatching of local talents Andrew
Doheny (Newport Beach, CA) and Brad Ettinger (Huntington Beach, CA).

“I’ve been staying down here in Newport a lot so I surf 56th all the time,”
Garland said. “I had Andrew (Doheny) and Brad (Ettinger) in my heat so I knew
I was going to have to get some good scores early. I’m super stoked I’m
through to the quarters and hopefully I can keep on going.”

Micah Byrne (Huntington Beach, CA), who has already scalped an ASP WQS 2-Star
this season at him home break in March, scored a sensational 11th-hour victory
in his Round 5 clash, narrowly edging out lethal import Brent Dorrington (Gold
Coast, AUS).

“It was a close heat out there for sure,” Byrne said. “The lead flip-flopped
right until the end and I was on the bubble for quite a while. I was fortunate
enough to grab a couple of runners right off the jetty and was able to claw my
way back into it. The surfers out there are hungry, and it’s only going to
get harder from here on.”

The big Round 5 upset this morning was the elimination of de facto Macy’s
California Trifecta Surf Series pres. by Jeep ratings leader Shaun Ward
(Huntington Beach, CA) at the hands of Hawaiian ripper Daniel Jones (North
Shore, HI) and Pro Junior wunderkind Cory Arrambide (Ventura, CA).

Heading into the final two days of competition, remaining Oakley Newport Beach
Pro competitors Anthony Petruso (Malibu, CA), Adam Virs (Ventura, CA), Micah
Byrne (Huntington Beach, CA), Dustin Barca (Hanalei, HI), Austin Ware (San
Diego, CA) and defending Macy’s Trifecta Champion Nathan Yeomans (San
Clemente, CA) all pose a threat to overtaking the 2007 Macy’s California
Trifecta Surf Series presented by Jeep ratings after Ward’s Round 5
elimination.

Wavewatch, official forecasters for the Oakley Newport Beach Pro pres. by Jeep,
have called for the South swell to fill in overnight with possible windy
conditions early in the weekend, cleaning up later on.

The men will hit the water tomorrow morning at 9am for the Quarterfinals before
resting up for a big finish on Sunday.

The event will be webcast LIVE at www.newportbeachpro.com

SEMIFINALISTS DECIDED FOR OAKLEY PRO JUNIOR

NEWPORT BEACH, California
(Friday, Sept. 21, 2007) – The eight semifinalists
in the Association of Surfing Professionals (ASP) Grade-2 Oakley Pro Junior
have been decided today after a stunning afternoon of competition.

Although scheduled to run through the Semifinals this afternoon with the Finals
set to run on Sunday, event organizers at the Oakley Pro Junior opted to call
competition off following the completion of the Quarterfinals due to the
rapidly deteriorating conditions.

Despite the trying afternoon surf, the points race at the second of three Pro
Junior events on the Macy’s California Trifecta Surf Series saw surfers
collectively lift their competitive game, slicing through the shifting
beachbreak peaks.

Trevor Saunders (San Clemente, CA) came out of nowhere and is now the man to
beat, dominating the afternoon conditions and netting the highest heat total of
the event, a 17.35 out of a possible 20, dispatching of East Coasters Travis
Beckmann (Vero Beach, FL) and Cody Thompson (Jacksonville Beach, FL).

“It’s such a huge confidence boost to go out and beat the top guys out
here,” Saunders said. “It feels really good. This is the farthest I’ve
ever made it in these events so I’m super stoked and I hope I can go all the
way.”

Cory Arrambide (Ventura, CA), current ratings leader on the ASP North America
Pro Junior Series, has been a standout surfer all event, advancing through to
the Quarterfinals of the Oakley Newport Beach Pro Junior presented by Jeep as
well as the Semifinals of the Oakley Pro Junior.

“I’m doing double duty right now so it’s a lot of surfing, but it’s good to
get a lot of reps in,” Arrambide said. “The conditions deteriorated this
afternoon, but I still managed to get through both my heats. It’s important
for me to do well in this event as it’s the second-to-last of the season.
It’s an important event in the qualifying race for Australia.”

Brent Dorrington (Gold Coast, AUS), winner of April’s Oakley Pro Junior at
Lower Trestles, has been eliminated from Oakley Newport Beach Pro pres. by Jeep
competition, but remains a solid threat to the North American draw in the
Oakley Pro Junior.

“It was a bit disappointing going down in the men’s event, but that just
happens in surfing,” Dorrington said. “I’m stoked to still be in the junior
event and hopefully I make another final out here. The waves are similar to
Duranbah back home on the Goldy so I feel pretty comfortable out here. I’m
looking forward to tomorrow’s heats.”

The Semifinals of the Oakley Pro Junior will run tomorrow at 10:20am with the
Finals running at 1pm on Sunday, Sept. 23, 2007.

Wavewatch, official forecasters for the Oakley Newport Beach Pro pres. by Jeep,
have called for the South swell to fill in overnight with possible windy
conditions early in the weekend, cleaning up later on.

Quiksilver Pro France
Stop No. 7 of 10 on the 2007 Foster’s ASP World Tour
La Nord/Les Estagnots: Hossegor/Seignosse, France
September 20-30, 2007

ROOKIES WIN ROUND 1 HEATS AT QUIKSILVER PRO FRANCE HELD AT LA GRAVIERE

HOSSEGOR, France
(Friday, Sept. 21, 2007) – Foster’s ASP World Tour rookies,
Luke Munro (AUS), Dayyan Neve (AUS) and Ricky Basnett (ZAF) have yet to advance
from Round 3 this year, but each are seeded directly into that round after
winning their Round 1 Quiksilver Pro France heats today.

Heats 1 through 6 of Round 1 ran in two to four foot (one metre) conditions at
La Graviere with Munro beating out reigning Quiksilver Pro France Champion Joel
Parkinson (AUS) in the last heat of the day. Munro, who is rated equal 43rd,
also posted the highest heat total of the day, 16.17 out of 20.00 possible
points.

“It’s tough being a rookie, especially for me being the lowest seed,” Munro
said. “Each time I come into a competition I draw one of the Top 5 guys, so it
makes it tough going up against Kelly, Taj, Mick, Joel or Andy each first heat.
I’m really keen to get a few points and get out of that Top 5 bracket. When I
drew Joel, I really didn’t want to go up against him, but now I’m fortunate
to get a win out of him.”

Neve, World No. 41, advanced straight to Round 3 for the first time in his
elite tour career with a last minute victory over Josh Kerr (AUS) and Pancho
Sullivan (HAW).

“I needed a 5.0 something and Kerr was in 1st; he was sticking to me like glue
and wasn’t really letting me get any waves,” Neve said. “Luckily I started
drifting down the beach a bit, saw a wide peak and caught a really good wave. I
got two really good turns in and then my back foot fell off a bit and I was
thinking, ‘Oh no you’ve blown it again.’ Thank goodness the judges liked
those first two turns and I was able to score high enough to put me in the
lead.”

Neve, like Munro, aren’t likely to requalify via the Foster’s ASP World Tour,
but both have strong campaigns on the World Qualifying Series (WQS) and could
qualify via that tour.

“I feel amazing, I’m so stoked, I haven’t won a first round heat all year,”
Neve said. “I’ve had a really bad year this year but I feel as though I’ve
learned a lot. I’ve had some really good results this year in the WQS so
hopefully I’ll earn enough points to stick around next year.”

Basnett has avoided Round 2 on several occasions this year but has yet to
advance to Round 4.

“I’ve probably won three or four first round heats during my rookie year,”
Basnett said. “I win the first one and now I’ve got to make it out of the
next one. I’m definitely looking to do that this contest for sure.”

Bobby Martinez (USA) beat Mark Occhilupo (AUS) and Luke Stedman (AUS) in
shifting conditions to avoid the first elimination round in Heat 3.

“It was hard because it is such a big area, there are waves everywhere, and
it’s really hard to read them,” Martinez said. “This place is weird because
it looks like it looks now and then in a half an hour it can totally change –
the tide can be doing something completely different and it’s so dramatic. You
never know what this place is going to do, there may be lefts one heat and
rights the next, it’s just a hard place to figure out.”

Trent Munro (AUS) beat Dean Morrison (AUS) and Adrian Buchan (AUS) in Heat 4,
despite Morrison posting a 9.17 in the final seconds.

Munro missed qualifying for the 2007 Foster’s ASP World Tour when he finished
one spot outside the Top 27 who automatically requalify via the elite tour at
the end of the season. However, as 1st replacement and citing Tim Reyes’
injury the first six events of the year and the withdrawl of Damien Hobgood,
Munro has had the opportunity to follow the tour full time.

“I had a terrible year last year, it’s one I really want to bypass,” Munro
said. “This year I’m having a great year in general, I’m happier than ever.
I’m just enjoying my surfing and trying not to take the contest thing too hard
and just letting my surfing do the talking. I love surfing at home and I’ve
stayed at home a lot this year, I’m not competing on the WQS this year so
we’ll just see what happens. If it’s my last year, it’s my last year.”

Heat 5 of Round 1 was unofficially won by Bede Durbidge (AUS) over Cory Lopez
(USA) and Gabe Kling, but do to special circumstances regarding the nature of
the heat, the heat will be resurfed first up when competition commences.

NEWPORT BEACH, California
(Thursday, Sept. 20, 2007) – The top seeds in the
Oakley Newport Beach Pro presented by Jeep excelled in punchy two-to-three foot
peaks today, posting some of the highest scores of the event as Round 4
narrowed the men’s draw down to the final 32.

Although conditions appeared bleak before competition got underway, the
Association of Surfing Professionals (ASP) World Qualifying Series (WQS) 2-Star
event, the second of the on the 2007 Macy’s California Trifecta Surf Series
presented by Jeep (an ASP North America Specialty Series), enjoyed rapidly
improving surf throughout the morning which set the stage for Round 4 action.

Nathan Yeomans (San Clemente, CA), defending Newport Beach Pro Champion and
reigning Macy’s California Trifecta Champion, made his presence felt this
morning netting the event high heat total of a 16.25 out of a possible 20.
Despite a slow start, the powerful goofy-footer got things underway with
full-rail surfing and explosive finishes on his forehand.

“It was a pretty slow start out there for me,” Yeomans said. “I finally got
into a rhythm about midway through and was able to drop a few scores. The
waves can be tricky on the low tide and fortunately things came together there
for me towards the end.”

Yeomans is currently ranked No. 67 on the ASP WQS following his 7th-place
finish at the biggest event of the season in France and the San Clemente phenom
will look to put his momentum to good use as he comes up against a top-notch
draw in this week’s Oakley Newport Beach Pro.

“I’m coming off one of my best results at the Super Series in France,”
Yeomans said. “It’s always good to come do this event because it keeps you
sharp. The competition is all there and it’s good to go hard against these
guys. There are a ton of good guys in the draw from Dustin (Barca) and Jason
(Miller) to guys like Nathaniel (Curran). Hopefully I can keep the momentum
going and repeat last year’s result.”

Nathaniel Curran (Oxnard, CA), last year’s runner-up on the Macy’s California
Trifecta Surf Series pres. by Jeep, has recently recovered from a shoulder
injury, and the progressive natural-footer looked solid in his Round 4
performance today.

“I’ve been steadily working my way back into the swing of things,” Curran
said. “I suffered a pretty bad shoulder injury at Supertubes by my house and
had to have surgery. So I was out of the water for a while, but I’m fully
healed and working my way back through the process. My boards feel good and
I’m hoping to put up a solid result here.”

Following the completion of Round 4 of the Oakley NB Pro pres. by Jeep, the
opening round of the ASP Grade-2 Oakley Pro Junior got underway with some solid
surfing from the top field of international junior talent.

The second-to-last ASP North America Pro Junior event of ’07, the ASP Grade-2
Oakley Pro Junior will prove pivotal in the ratings race to see who qualifies
for January’s Billabong ASP World Junior Championships.

Standouts in Round 1 of Oakley Pro Junior competition included Kyle Ramey (HI)
and Jamie Parkhurst (San Clemente, CA) who notched up the highest scores of the
afternoon with solid surfing on the reeling lefthanders.

Wavewatch, official forecasters for the Oakley Newport Beach Pro pres. by Jeep,
have called for a continuing run of South swell throughout the waiting period
with several days seeing chest-to-head-high surf.

Tomorrow will see the completion of Round 5 of the Oakley Newport Beach Pro
pres. by Jeep before jumping straight into ASP Grade-2 Oakley Pro Junior
action, narrowing the prodigious youngsters down to the final four, which will
compete on Sunday.

The event will be webcast LIVE at www.newportbeachpro.com

Quiksilver Pro France
Stop No. 7 of 10 on the 2007 Foster’s ASP World Tour
La Nord/Les Estagnots: Hossegor/Seignosse, France
September 20-30, 2007

HOSSEGOR, France
(Thursday, Sept. 20, 2007) – Though the official waiting
period for the Quiksilver Pro France, Stop No. 7 of 10 on the 2007 Foster’s
ASP World Tour, begins today, Thursday, Sept. 20, 2007, no official competition
will be held at La Nord in Hossegor.

With nine more days in an event waiting period which stretches from Sept.
20-30, 2007, contest officials have opted to use the first day of the event
window to run the Quiksilver Pro Trials at Grand Plage in nearby Biarritz
instead.

The surfers competing in the trials are: Tom Curren (USA), Tamaroa McComb
(PYF), Michel Bourez (PYF), Clay Marzo (AUS), Dylan Graves (PRI), Alain Riou
(PYF), Joan Duru (FRA), Tiago Pieres (PRT), Fred Robin (REU), Patrick Beven
(FRA), Nikolaus Von Rupp (GER), Marlon Lipke (DEU) and Marc Lacomare (FRA). The
winner of the Quiksilver Pro Trials will earn the third and final wildcard into
the main event.

Former Foster’s ASP World Tour surfer Miky Picon (FRA) and World Qualifying
Series No. 12, Aritz Aranburu (EUK) received automatic wildcards into the
Quiksilver Pro France. A complete Quiksilver Pro draw will be available when
the third and final wildcard is decided.

Though no official Foster’s ASP World Tour competition will run today, several
of the Top 45 will likely paddle out to participate in the ‘Kelly
Experiment,’ an overlapping heat format conceptualized by current reigning
World Champion and current World No. 2 Kelly Slater (USA). Should the format
prove successful, it will likely be used at Pipeline in Hawaii (as an
alternative to the current four-heat format) this December.

NEWPORT BEACH, California
(Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2007) – Although conditions
deteriorated slightly for Day 2 of the Oakley Newport Beach Pro presented by
Jeep, competitors in Round 2 and 3 produced big scores and dynamic surfing in
the two-to-three foot (1 metre) surf at 56th Street.

The Association of Surfing Professionals (ASP) World Qualifying Series (WQS)
2-Star event, the second of three on the 2007 Macy’s California Trifecta Surf
Series (an ASP North America Specialty Series), narrowed the original 160-man
draw down to the remaining 64 surfers following 24 heats of competition today.

Javier Swayne (Lima, PER) caused a big upset today, eliminating Californian
big-wave Hellman Peter Mel (Santa Cruz, CA) while netting the event-high heat
total of a 15.75 out of a possible 20. The lightning-fast goofy-footer smashed
the bowling lefthanders with style and aggression, displaying unmatched rhythm
in the tricky conditions.

“The conditions have been pretty inconsistent today,” Swayne said. “Some
heats have good waves and others don’t. I was able to get a couple of good
waves out in my heat and I was stoked that I made it through. My equipment
feels good and hopefully I can make it through a few more heats.”

Swayne’s advancement today is his third of the Oakley Newport Beach Pro,
joining fellow remaining Round 1 starters Jay Phillips (Gold Coast, AUS),
Andrew Doheny (Newport Beach, CA), Alex Smith (Kilauea, HI), Hunter Heverly
(Wrightsville Beach, NC) and Evan Geiselman (New Smyrna Beach, FL).

Geiselman, in his first season at the venue, has been a standout performer
since Round 1 and will put the pressure on the high seeds going into
tomorrow’s competition.

“I like surfing from Round 1 because it gives me a good opportunity to get
into rhythm out there,” Geiselman said. “I’ve been figuring out where to
sit, which waves to take and so forth.”

The 14-year-old phenom will now face off with elder brother Eric, last
season’s ASP North America Pro Junior Champion, in Round 4 of Oakley Newport
Beach Pro competition.

“We’ve surfed a couple of times before and it’s always fun,” Geiselman
said. “Eric is a great surfer so I’ll just try to focus on my surfing and
hopefully I get through.”

Wavewatch, official forecasters for the Oakley Newport Beach Pro pres. by Jeep,
have called for a steady run of South swell throughout the waiting period with
several days seeing chest-to-head-high surf.

Tomorrow will see the completion of Round 4 of the Oakley Newport Beach Pro
pres. by Jeep before heading into the opening round of the ASP Grade-2 Oakley
Pro Junior.

Top men’s seeds like last year’s Macy’s Trifecta Champion Nathan Yeomans
(San Clemente, CA), former ASP World Champion Sunny Garcia (Westside, HI),
young international threat Brent Dorrington (Gold Coast, AUS) among others will
do battle in Round 4

Quiksilver Pro France
Stop No. 7 of 10 on the 2007 Foster’s ASP World Tour
La Nord/Les Estagnots: Hossegor/Seignosse, France
September 20-30, 2007

HOSSEGOR, France
(Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2007) –Jeremy Flores (FRA) will head
into Stop No. 7 of 10 on the 2007 Foster’s ASP World Tour, the Quiksilver Pro
France, the highest rated rookie of the year thus far. Fresh off a Semifinal
finish at last week’s World Tour event in California, Flores now sits 9th in
the ASP ratings.

“I’m very excited for the competition in France; it’s going to be fun,”
Flores said. The waves have been really good for the contest the past two years
and it’s my first time, officially, to surf with there on the World Tour so
I’m really excited. It’s going to be cool, there are going to be so many fans
at home cheering for me so it should be good. I can’t wait.”

Flores is one of three, and possibly four, European surfers competing in the
Quiksilver Pro France. Former Foster’s ASP World Tour surfer Miky Picon (FRA)
and Spaniard
Aritz Aranburu have been given wildcards into the main event. Aranburu
currently sits 12th on the ASP World Qualifying Series (WQS), Picon 13th. The
Top 15 surfers on the WQS at the end of the year earn spots on the elite
Foster’s ASP World Tour.

The third wildcard spot will be given to the winner of the Quiksilver Pro
Trials to be held tomorrow, Thursday, Sept. 20th, the first day of the official
10-day waiting period that stretches from Sept. 20-30, 2007. The surfers
competing in the trials are: Tom Curren (USA), Tamaroa McComb (PYF), Michel
Bourez (PYF), Clay Marzo (AUS), Dylan Graves (PRI), Alain Riou (PYF), Joan Duru
(FRA), Tiago Pieres (PRT), Fred Robin (REU), Patrick Beven (FRA), Nikolaus Von
Rupp (GER), Marlon Lipke (DEU) and Marc Lacomare (FRA).

No official Foster’s ASP World Tour competition will run tomorrow, though
several of the Top 45 will likely paddle out to participate in the ‘Kelly
Experiment,’ an overlapping heat format conceptualized by current reigning
World Champion and current World No. 2 Kelly Slater (USA). Should the format
prove successful, it will likely be used at Pipeline in Hawaii (as an
alternative to the current four-heat format) this December.

Event No. 6 on the 2007 ASP North America Men’s Tour
Event No. 8 on the 2007 ASP North America Pro Junior Series (Men)
Newport Beach, California, United States of America
September 18-23, 2007

NEWPORT BEACH, California
(Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2007) – The Oakley Newport Beach
Pro presented by Jeep opened up in glassy two-to-three foot (1 metre) waves at
56th Street this morning for Round 1 of competition and the throngs of
competitors excelled throughout the day, continuing to push the high
performance barriers.

The Association of Surfing Professionals (ASP) World Qualifying Series (WQS)
2-Star event marks the second of three stops on 2007 Macy’s California
Trifecta Surf Series presented by Jeep (an ASP North America Specialty Series)
and will play a pivotal role in determining the ’07 Trifecta Champion.

Tyler Stanaland (Laguna Beach, CA), who will also be competing in the ASP
Grade-2 Oakley Pro Junior later this week, was a surprise performer during
Round 1 action, earning the event high heat total of a 14.75 out of a possible
20 while eliminating local favorite Josh Hoyer (Newport Beach, CA).

“I knew these guys are pretty full on out here so I just tried to get some
scores under my belt early,” Stanaland said. “I haven’t done too many
events, but I’m through the first round so hopefully I can stay consistent.”

Tommy Bursian (Isabella, PRI) punctuated the afternoon by scoring a sensational
come-from-behind victory in his Round 2 heat, ousting Jamie Parkhurst (San
Clemente, CA) and Layne Harrison (San Diego, CA) from Oakley NB Pro
competition. In the dying minutes of the heat, Bursian ripped apart a bowling
lefthander and punctuated with an incredible fin release on the end section
which netted him the day’s high single-wave score of an 8.50 out of a possible
10.

“I was getting really frustrated out there because all the waves I was getting
were closing out,” Bursian said. “I was running out of time so I took a
medium-sized wave and did everything I could on it. I’m stoked I got the
score and hopefully I can move through some more rounds.”

Wavewatch, official forecasters for the Oakley Newport Beach Pro pres. by Jeep,
have called for a steady run of South swell throughout the waiting period with
several days seeing chest-to-head-high surf.

Tomorrow will see Rounds 2 and 3 of the Oakley Newport Beach Pro pres. by Jeep
completed as the event whittles the draw down to the remaining 64 competitors
in the ASP WQS 2-Star event.

Round 3 action will see high seeds Dane Ward (San Clemente, CA), Cory Arrambide
(Ventura, CA), Travis Beckmann (Vero Beach, FL) among others battle it out in
the punchy bowls of 56th St.

The event will be webcast LIVE at www.newportbeachpro.com.

Boost Mobile Pro of Surf presented by Hurley
Stop No 6. of 10 on the 2007 Foster’s ASP World Tour
Lower Trestles, California USA
September 9-15, 2007

LOWER TRESTLES, California
(Saturday, Sept. 15, 2007) – Reigning and 8X
Foster’s ASP World Champion Kelly Slater (USA) has won his first event in over
a year, moved to current World No. 2, and broke a world record after beating
Pancho Sullivan (HAW) in the Final of the 2007 Boost Mobile Pro presented by
Hurley today.

“It’ll be nice to go and sit down and think about this one,” Slater said.
“This will be a neat little tournament for my career. I’m a little bummed
because I didn’t feel like I capitalized on the waves I had, and it was
frustrating, but just to get that win was important. We had similar conditions
to 1990 when I won out here, so it was pretty magical.”

The victory marks Slater’s 34th ASP World Tour win and earns him the record
for the most elite tour event victories in history. Former three-time ASP
World Champion Tom Curren (USA) set the record with his 33rd event win 16 years
ago. Slater tied Curren with his 2006 Bells Beach victory and, despite
featuring in four finals in the 16 months since, hadn’t broken the record
until today.

“Part of me is kind of sad,” Slater said. “I was hoping Tom and I would end
up on the same number forever, but somebody is bound to come along and get to
where I got. You’ve got to surf to the standards, but someone else is always
going to be coming along that has the time and desire.”

Slater has been in the last four Boost Mobile Pro finals. He finished runner-up
in 2004 and 2006, and claimed wins in 2007 and in 2005. His win today puts him
230 points behind Foster’s ASP ratings leader Mick Fanning (AUS) and has
positioned him as a strong contender for the 2007 World Title.

“Now I’ve almost got as many points as I had accrued last year,” Slater
said. “I didn’t think I was that intensely focused this week, I felt calm and
happy. We’ll see what happens in France. After this I could really capitalize
on everything.”

Sullivan, who is into his sophomore year on tour, posted his best result to
date with his runner-up finish to Slater. The powerful Hawaiian was a standout
performer on the final day of competition, besting Neco Padaratz (BRA), Troy
Brooks (AUS) and Jeremy Flores (FRA) on his way to meeting Slater in the Final.
He needed a medium-scoring ride – a 6.98 – to take the heat from Slater.

“It was a little frustrating, especially needing such a small score at the end
and having priority and not being able to do anything, but that’s the surfing
competition,” Sullivan said. “I still made it to the Final and hopefully I
can carry some momentum into Europe and keep improving. It was really
inconsistent but there were a few moments where we saw some spectacular
surfing. I think all in all it turned out to be a great event.”

Sullivan has jumped eight spots from World No. 16 to World No. 8 with his
runner-up finish today.

“I feel really good to get a good strong result like this,” Sullivan said.
“I feel like my preparation was really good, I’ve been to every event this
year and my scores have been really good. I felt it was just a matter of time
before everything clicked. Unfortunately, I didn’t get a really good
opportunity in the Final, but next week is another event and hopefully I can
keep going.”

Flores, 2007 Foster’s ASP World Tour rookie, put in a stunning finals day
performance, attacking the roping Lowers righthanders with style, punch and
bite. The Frenchman dispatched of Rodrigo Dornelles (BRA) and C.J. Hobgood
(USA) en route to his first career Semifinal berth and 3rd place finish.

“I was so happy until that heat; it was the best result of my life,” Flores
said. “I have been having the best time of my life. That was the worst way to
lose, the worst way. I actually had a good wave, a real fun wave, and I surfed
it bad the whole way. I couldn’t believe it, the waves were so good before my
heat that I was jumping around, feeling so lucky that I was going to be able to
surf man on man in those conditions. I was so, so stoked.”

Despite going down to Sullivan in the Semifinal, Flores has jumped to 9th on
the Foster’s ASP World Tour – a move that puts him as the highest-rated
rookie on the 2007 tour. Kai Otton (AUS) and Ben Dunn (AUS), rated 18th and
19th respectively, are his closest ‘Rookie of the Year’ competition.

Tom Whitaker (AUS) had to fend off countrymen Shaun Cansdell (AUS) and Ben Dunn
(AUS) to meet Slater in the Semifinals, but the fleet-footed Australian was
unable to match the Champ’s prowess.

“It’s disappointing, but its fun to surf against Kelly,” Whitaker said.
“You’ve got to bring your A-game. He looks at waves that you think he should
get a 6.0 or 7.0 but he makes them 8.0s and 9.0s. I caught a couple of edges
and didn’t get my way.”

Whitaker’s equal 3rd finish today is a far cry from the two 33rd (last place)
results he posted at the two world tour events previous to the Boost Mobile
Pro. He’s moved to World No. 15 after the result.

“I dropped one of those 3s off the end of a 33rd, those were terrible,”
Whitaker said. “It’s good to start the second half of the year off like
that.”

The next stop on the Foster’s ASP World Tour will be the Quiksilver Pro France
running from Sept. 20-30, 2007.

Quiksilver Pro France
Stop No. 7 of 10 on the 2007 Foster’s ASP World Tour
La Nord/Les Estagnots: Hossegor/Seignosse, France
September 20-30, 2007

HOSSEGOR, France
(Friday, Sept. 14, 2007) –With only one day of Boost Mobile
Pro presented by Hurley competition remaining, 32 of the Top 45 surfers have
been eliminated at Lower Trestles and have turned their attention to Stop No. 7
of 10 on the Foster’s ASP World Tour – the Quiksilver Pro France.

Held in Hossegor, France from Sept. 20-30, the Quiksilver Pro will be the next
opportunity for world title contenders Mick Fanning (AUS), Taj Burrow (AUS) and
Andy Irons (HAW) to strike. Currently rated 1st, 2nd and 3rd on the Foster’s
ASP World Tour respectively, all three bowed out of the Boost Mobile Pro
uncharacteristically early.

Burrow, who is the only surfer with two elite tour wins in his 2007 scoreline,
knows his equal 17th result at Trestles is a throwaway (the surfers drop their
two worst results of the year) and has now turned his attention to the beach
breaks of South Western France.

“I just want to put my head down and aim for a win in Europe of course,”
Burrow said. “I’m definitely really devastated with the loss at Trestles, but
yesterday kind of panned out pretty well, considering my result. Besides Kelly
still being in the event, it’s like this event never happened. It’s really
coming down to crunch time for someone to get on a roll, so I’m just looking
to get loose in Europe.”

Reigning and 8X World Champion Kelly Slater (USA) is the only surfer in the Top
10 still factoring in the Lower Trestles draw. With a win in California and a
strong European leg, Slater knows that title No. 9 could be within his grasp.

“France has always been a good event for me and Trestles has always been a
good event for me, so hopefully I come out of California with a good result and
then I have a chance,” Slater said. “In theory, if I get a really good result
here in the USA, potentially a win, I could get back up into the lead in
Europe. That would be a surprise to me since I haven’t had a stellar year so
far, but I turned it around in JBay and this week is shaping up to be a pretty
good one.”

Joel Parkinson (AUS) who was rated 5th prior to the Boost Mobile Pro, is the
defending Quiksilver Pro France champion. World No. 3 Irons won the event the
three years prior. The Foster’s ASP World Tour ratings will be adjusted after
the mainland USA event wraps up tomorrow, but one thing is certain, the race
for the 2007 World Title is shaping up to be the most exciting in years.

yesterday kind of panned out pretty well, considering my result.

NEWPORT BEACH, California
(Friday, Sept. 14, 2007) – The Oakley Newport Beach
Pro presented by Jeep is only days away, and the anticipation of a solid South
swell has the list of marquee competitors excited to get competition underway.

The Association of Surfing Professionals (ASP) World Qualifying Series (WQS)
2-Star event, the second on the Macy’s California Trifecta Surf Series
presented by Jeep (an ASP North America Specialty Series), will run from
September 18-23 at 56th Street in Newport Beach, California, and will feature
an international field of 160 competitors vying for valuable ratings points and
the $25,000 prize purse.

Nathan Yeomans (San Clemente, CA), defending Newport Beach Pro and Macy’s
California Trifecta Surf Series Champion, is coming off some good results
overseas and will look to defend his title against an onslaught of competitors
at this season’s Oakley Newport Beach Pro presented by Jeep.

“I had a pretty good run here last year and beat some top guys in the final,”
Yeomans said. “The win last year really gave me a lot of confidence and I
went on to win the Macy’s California Trifecta the next month. I had a pretty
good season in Europe so I’m really hoping I can take all that momentum and
have a really good run through the rest of the year.”

Shaun Ward (Huntington Beach, CA) will be the de-facto ratings leader in the
Macy’s California Trifecta Surf Series presented by Jeep following his finals
finish in April’s Jeep Body Glove Surfbout. With the rest of the Surfbout
finalists off competing on the elite Foster’s ASP World Tour, Ward will be the
man to beat in Newport.

“I had a really good result at Lowers last April so hopefully I can stay
consistent in Newport,” Ward said. “There are so many good surfers in the
event that it’s really anyone’s game. I think the guys from Huntington and
Newport will have a little advantage because of our experience out there.”

Brett Simpson (Huntington Beach, CA), aerialist extraordinaire and current No.
47 on the ASP WQS, will be another looking to apply his experience at 56th
Street’s hollow sandbar to the Oakley Newport Beach Pro.

“It’s so nice to have a major event at home,” Simpson said. “We’re on the
road most of the year so to be able to come home and surf down the road is a
great feeling. I always make it a point to surf this event when I’m home. The
event probably won’t be going into my WQS rating this season, but it’s still
a top-notch event. There are some really big names in it and it’s important
to stay sharp before we finish up this season at the Coldwater and then in
Hawaii.”

Running in conjunction with this year’s Oakley Newport Beach Pro will be the
ASP Grade-2 Oakley Pro Junior, the second-to-last stop on the 2007 ASP North
America Pro Junior Series. The event will prove a critical launching pad for
surfers heading into the ASP Grade-3 Oakley Pro Junior in Santa Cruz next
month, which will serve as the ASP North America Pro Junior Championships,
playing a huge role in determining who qualifies for the Billabong ASP World
Junior Championships next January.

Cory Arrambide (Ventura, CA), current ratings leader on the ASP North America
Pro Junior Series, is coming of a sensational victory at the ASP Grade-2 Oakley
Pro Junior in New Jersey. Having already won an ASP Pro Junior event in
Newport last season, Laramie’s experience and current momentum will make him
the man to watch.

“I’ve had a pretty consistent season so I’m going to try and use the same
approach as I have been,” Laramie said. “The level of competition is so high
at these Pro Junior events and it’s pretty hard to win them. Right now, I
want to focus on my overall surfing and competitive approach and hopefully
we’ll have a great event.”

Wavewatch, official forecasters for the Oakley Newport Beach Pro presented by
Jeep, have called for a steady run of South swell throughout the waiting period
with several days seeing head-high to overhead surf.

LOWER TRESTLES, California
(Friday, Sept. 14, 2007) – Event organizers at the
Boost Mobile Pro presented by Hurley have postponed Round 4 today, opting to
run the Hurley “Keys to the Continent” presented by Foster’s instead.

“The swell has improved and transition from the Northwest wind swell to a true
South swell, but it’s still a bit small and inconsistent,” Event Director
Mike Parsons said. “Our forecasters at Surfline have projected that the swell
will be filling in tonight and through tomorrow, so we’re hoping to run the
remaining 15 heats in good surf.”

The second annual Hurley "Keys to the Continent" event is scheduled to take
place at Lower Trestles later this morning. Hurley's "Keys to the Continent"
challenge brings surfers from different regions together in a team competition
to determine which one is the strongest in pro surfing today.

With a $20,000 prize purse and collection of gifts to be split among surfers
from the winning region, Hurley's "Keys to the Continent" consists of two
riders from each represented territory. Each surfer counts his best individual
wave scores, plus a third "shared" wave, where teammates are required to ride a
wave together.

After the first round, the best three regions will advance into the finals,
where early scores carry over. The winning team shares the prizes with every
competing surfer from their region, even though only two surfers actually
participate.

"Hurley's 'Keys to the Continent' presented by Fosters is taking place right in
the middle of what has been an amazing event so far,” Hurley Surf Marketing
Manager Pat O’Connell. “With the excitement and surprising eliminations in
Round 3, Hurley’s ‘Keys to the Continent’ will prove to be extra
entertaining to watch."

Points earned in Hurley’s “Keys to the Continent” event will go towards each
region’s Foster’s Surf Showdown ratings total.

Current Foster’s Surf Showdown Ratings (after Event 5 - Billabong Pro Jeffreys
Bay):
1st - USA - 5016 pts
2nd - Australia - 4860 pts (2006 Hurley “Keys to the Continent” winner)
3rd - Foster's Rookies - 4707 pts
4th - South Africa - 4071 pts
5th - Brazil - 3876 pts
6th - Hawaii - 2568 pts (n/s at Bells)

A 7:30am call for a possible 8am start for Round 4 of the Boost Mobile Pro will
be made tomorrow.

The Boost Mobile Pro Final is tentatively set for 3:30pm tomorrow and will
crown the 2007 Champion.

The event will be webcast LIVE at www.boostmobilepro.com.

LOWER TRESTLES, California
(Thursday, Sept. 13, 2007) – Nine of the Top 10
surfers on the 2007 Foster’s ASP World Tour have been eliminated from the
Boost Mobile Pro presented by Hurley. Only 8X World Champion and current World
No. 4 Kelly Slater (USA) remains in contention after today’s Round 3 heats.

Wildcards Dane Reynolds (USA) and Jordy Smith (AUS) eliminated ratings leader
Mick Fanning (AUS) and current World No. 3 Andy irons respectively in two of
the biggest upsets of the event.

“I’m excited – I came into that heat thinking I was going to have to get
9.0s to beat him because that’s what he consistently posts,” Reynolds said.
“I know Mick holds the No. 1 seed, but I tried not to really think about it in
that way. I just did what the waves called for.”

Reynolds’ eliminated World No. 2 Taj Burrow (AUS) yesterday and garnered the
highest single-wave score of the event, a 9.93 out of a possible 10 in the
first 10 seconds of his heat against Fanning today. The ever-humble Fanning was
unable to find a wave with the same scoring potential.

“His whole heat was that one wave,” Fanning said. “When someone comes out
and starts with a 9.93 it’s pretty difficult to catch up. Congratulations to
him though, he surfed insane out there. I’m looking forward to having him on
tour, he’s smartened up a lot in the last year, it’s great, it’s people like
that that push the sport of surfing. It’s great to have those guys on tour.”

The equal 17th place finishing is Fanning’s worst finish this season. Prior to
today, Fanning had finished in the Quarterfinals or better in every Foster’s
ASP World Tour event held in the last 12 months.

Smith executed superior wave selection to eliminate Irons in Heat 13 today. He
and Reynolds, who sit 1st and 2nd on the ASP World Qualifying Series (WQS) have
made good on the hype that surrounds both of the young surfers.

“Yeah it was good to see Dane win, he’s a good friend,” Smith said. “I
thought I might as well match him, so I did. Andy is a very tough competitor.
He looks scary out there. He has absolutely no nerves and he just waits for the
best waves each time and usually gets them. I guess I just got the better ones
this time.”

Slater beat wildcard and former World No. 2 Rob Machado (USA) in Heat 9 – the
heat after Fanning’s and several heats prior to Smith’s elimination of Irons.

“I think I’d actually be a little bit more intense about my focus if Mick was
still in this because I’d have no choice but to win the event if he were to
finish equal 5th or better,” Slater said. “It does take a bit of the pressure
off if I look at it the right way.”

Slater has made the Final of the Boost Mobile Pro at Trestles each of the last
three years and as the only to seed still competing in this event, is an
excellent position to put together a campaign for his 9th ASP World Title.

“I need to get, at worst, a 3rd in this contest to put myself into striking
contention through Europe. If I were to win here and then better Mick and Taj
in France I’d probably be right there in the hunt, same thing with Andy. That
said, if Jordy knocks out Andy it might put all of the pressure back on because
then I’d really need to capitalize on the situation,” Slater said. “Either
way, I like the situation.”

A call will be made at 7:30am tomorrow for a possible 8am start for Round 4 of
the Boost Mobile Pro.

LOWER TRESTLES, California
(Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2007) – Prodigious wildcards
Dane Reynolds (USA) and Jordy Smith (ZAF) scored sensational upsets today as
they eliminated current Foster’s ASP World No. 2 Taj Burrow (AUS) and 2005
Boost Mobile Pro Champion Joel Parkinson (AUS) respectively in Round 2 of the
Boost Mobile Pro presented by Hurley.

Event No. 6 of 10 on the 2007 Foster’s ASP World Tour, the Boost Mobile Pro
commenced the elimination Round 2 today, running 16 heats in the
one-to-three-foot (1 metre) surf at Lower Trestles.

Reynolds, current No. 2 on the ASP World Qualifying Series (WQS), was
highly-touted coming into the Boost Mobile Pro and proved why today as he
dispatched of current ASP frontrunner Burrow convincingly.

“I feel relatively confident going up against the top guys,” Reynolds said.
“I feel like it’s an uphill battle, but I like it that way. There’s no
pressure on me, all the pressure is on them. That’s the only way I can surf
well - without pressure. It benefits me, but it can go any way with the waves.
It just went my way today."

Smith, current ASP World Junior Champion and ratings leader on the ASP WQS, was
in blistering form as well this morning, fighting back against Parkinson after
the Australian held an early lead. The young South African will now join
fellow wildcard Reynolds in Round 3.

“It was good to see Dane beat Taj in the last heat – he’s a good friend of
mine,” Smith said. “It’s good to see the underdogs get up. I hope I go can
all the way. I wouldn’t be here surfing if I didn’t think I could go all the
way.”

Bede Durbidge (AUS), defending Boost Mobile Pro Champion, put all first round
jitters behind him this morning, convincingly dispatching ’07 Tour rookie Luke
Munro in their Round 2 bout.

“It was really important for me to come back here and do well, being the
defending champion for the first time at an event,” Durbidge said. “It’s
cool and pretty exciting. It’s been tough, this Round 2 thing, but I got
through and felt really good about that heat. I’m just looking forward to the
rest of the event.”

Royden Bryson (ZAF), current World No. 32, was in stunning form this afternoon,
netting the event high heat total of a 17.17 out of a possible 20.

“It was a confident boost,” Bryson said. “I just have to keep doing the
same thing going into the next heat. Being my first year on the tour I’ve
learned a lot and moving through heats is always good.”

Victor Ribas (BRA), current World No. 37 and veteran Foster’s ASP World Tour
campaigner, led a strong Brazilian contingent today that saw Neco Padaratz,
Rodrigo Dornelles, Raoni Monteiro and Leonardo Neves all advance through to
Round 3.

“I’m used to these conditions and my board feels really good,” Ribas said.
“Before my heat I spoke with Perry the head judge, to see what they were
looking for. I think I took the right waves and I was patient, and did well. I
am excited to hear that I had the highest heat total of the event, it seems
like the judges liked my performance.”

Tomorrow will see Round 3 hit the water with some unbelievable match-ups
including Mick Fanning (AUS) versus Dane Reynolds (USA), Kelly Slater (USA)
versus Rob Machado (USA), and Andy Irons (HAW) versus Jordy Smith (ZAF) to name
a few.

Into the third day of the seven-day waiting period, event No. 6 of 10 on the
Foster’s ASP World Tour was greeted with clean-yet-inconsistent one-to-three
foot (0.5 metre) swell this morning at Lower Trestles, prompting event
organizers to call Boost Mobile Pro competition off for today in hopes of the
swell filling in over the remainder of the waiting period.

“The surf is clean this morning but still a little bit small and more
inconsistent than we would prefer,” Event Director Mike Parsons said. “After
talking with our forecasters at Surfline, it looks like we will have slightly
improved conditions over the next couple of days with the potential for some
fun-sized surf on Saturday. Next call will be at 7:30am for a possible 8am
start tomorrow.”

LOWER TRESTLES, California
(Monday, September 10, 2007) – Event organizers at
the Boost Mobile Pro presented by Hurley have called a lay day today in hopes
that this week will offer bigger waves than the one-to-two foot (0.5 metre)
surf on offer this morning.

“We’ve called for a lay day today because the remnants of the South swell
have dissipated and we’re only left with small wind swell,” Event Director
Mike Parsons said. “In addition to the small surf, the wind is projected to
pick up this afternoon so we are looking to the next few days to hopefully get
some modest pulses out of the South. We’ll check back again at 7:30am.”

Despite the seven-day waiting period, the Boost Mobile Pro is only allotted
five full days to compete. Once the decision to run has been made, the event
must run a full day to complete the event in the allotted time.

The small conditions at Lower Trestles this morning have earned those surfers
extra opportunity to prepare for their elimination round heats against
formidable wildcards Sunny Garcia (HAW), Dane Reynolds (USA) and Jordy Smith
(ZAF).

The Boost Mobile Pro waiting period stretches to Saturday, Sept. 15 with a call
on competition status made each morning on ‘The Dawn Patrol,’ a TV quality
production being webcast LIVE on www.boostmobilepro.com at 7:30am local time.

Another call on Round 2 competition status will be made tomorrow morning. For

ASSOCIATION OF SURFING PROFESSIONALS (ASP) INTERNATIONAL

Boost Mobile Pro of Surf presented by Hurley
Stop No 6. of 10 on the 2007 Foster’s ASP World Tour
Lower Trestles, California USA
September 9-15, 2007

LOWER TRESTLES, California
(Sunday, Sept. 9, 2007) – Current ASP World No. 1
Mick Fanning (AUS) put on a convincing Round 1 performance in the Boost Mobile
Pro presented by Hurley this morning, but the heat of the day belonged to
reigning and eight-time Foster’s ASP World Champion Kelly Slater (USA),
wildcard Dane Reynolds (USA) and World No. 21 Cory Lopez (USA).

The trio of Americans exchanged wave after wave, punting higher airs, executing
more critical maneuvers and putting the crowd on its feet with inspired
performances in the two-to-three foot (one metre) surf at Lower Trestles today.
Slater claimed the win over Reynolds and Lopez with the highest heat total of
the event thus far, a 17.17 out of a possible 20.

“There were some fun waves – it started out a little slow but then quite a
few sets came through,” Slater said. “Both of my good waves, Cory and I were
both after. Dane took a lot of time to get started, but then finally lit it up
in the last 10 minutes and got on a good run. It was going to be a surf off
because there were two or three waves in each set – time just ran out for the
other guys.”

Slater currently sits 4th behind Mick Fanning (AUS), Taj Burrow (AUS) and Andy
Irons (HAW) on the ASP ratings and needs a big result at Trestles to position
himself in the 2007 title race. He has made the Boost Mobile Pro Final three
years running and knows better than anyone what he needs to accomplish this
week.

"I’m not thinking about much further than this event because I need a good
result, I need to better Mick, Taj and Andy,” Slater said. “I need to get
ahead of them right now, in this one contest, try to gain some ground. Andy
and I are pretty close but if you drop a score or two he’s going to move a
couple more hundred points ahead of me. As you start playing with results right
now I can move closer to Taj and further from Andy so those guys are
effectively quite far ahead of me."

Fanning has a 1020 point lead over Slater and was in sizzling form as well,
lighting up a reeling righthander for the highest single wave score of the
event, 9.80 out of a possible 10.

“I started off the heat pretty average, Sunny (Garcia) and Pancho (Sullivan)
started off with good waves, so I was playing catch up for a while,” Fanning
said. “I was lucky enough to just get that one wave. Nothing else really
came through after that. Sunny and Pancho split the first one and I saw the
second wave coming, I just tried to light it up and make the most of it.”

Frederick Patacchia Jr. (HAW), current No. 19 on the Foster’s ASP World Tour,
scored a sensational upset today, defeating current World No. 2 Taj Burrow
(AUS) and highly-touted wildcard Jordy Smith (ZAF) in their Round 1 bout. In
one of the most exciting heats of the morning, Patacchia’s dynamic forehand
attack saw him through with huge air reverses and powerful turns.

“It doesn’t really matter who’s in your heat, you just take it heat by
heat,” Patacchia said. “Everyone on this tour rips so you can’t take anyone
for granted. I surfed the heat I wanted to surf. I knew I wanted to go left.
Those guys being regular footers, I knew they were looking at the rights. I was
kind of in my own area. After Taj got that interference, it was more a
man-on-man heat between me and Jordy Smith. I came out on top and had some
fun waves."

The upsets kept on coming as Adriano de Souza (BRA), current No. 24 on the
Foster’s ASP World Tour, bested defending Boost Mobile Pro Champion Bede
Durbidge (AUS) in their Round 1 clash. Although highly-touted coming into his
rookie season in 2006, having won the ASP World Qualifying Series (WQS) the
year before, De Souza has struggled to transfer his act to the World Tour
level.

"The conditions are pretty similar to those at home,” De Souza said. “I was
really excited about this heat and for the rest of the event. I need some
points to remain on tour next year. Hopefully I can do well in this event. The
wave here is very high performance, and sometimes really hard to read. I’m
hoping for the best."

Other rare entries into Round 2 today were Andy Irons (HAW) and Joel Parkinson
(AUS) who finished in last place in their respective Round 3 heats. Irons’
heat was won by former World No. 2 Rob Machado (USA), the only wildcard to
avoid Round 2 today.

“The last heat I surfed was in February so it’s been a while,” Machado said.
“I haven’t really ridden a lot of waves in the last two months, so I’m
excited to surf and it feels good to get out there with Andy and all these
guys. It’s a privilege, an honor, to go out there and try and mix it up with
these guys.”

France’s Jeremy Flores scored the second highest heat total of the day and
will advance straight to Round 3. At World No. 12, Flores is currently the
highest rated rookie and is enjoying the success that BMP wildcards Smith and
Reynolds will no doubt hope to share when they compete on the Foster’s ASP
World Tour next year.

“Dane Reynolds and Jordy Smith have arrived,” Flores said. “There are other
young surfers who surf good, but the three of us have been winning everything
the last few years… the WQS, the Junior series and we’ve made some World Tour
heats. They’re going to be on tour next year, and I think the three of us are
going to make a good push.”

A call on competition status will be made at 7:30am tomorrow, so logon to see
if Reynolds and Smith can advance out of sudden-death Round 2 should the Boost
Mobile Pro run.

Event No. 6 of 10 on the 2007 Foster’s ASP World Tour, the Boost Mobile Pro
will hope to complete all 16 heats of Round 1, with Heat 1 hitting the water at
8am.

“It’s about two-to-three-foot this morning and it is unfortunate that it has
dropped a little bit overnight but there are still some clean, little waves out
there,” Event Director Mike Parsons said. “It’s going to continue to drop
tomorrow so we will be getting underway with all 16 heats of Round 1 today.
Despite the fact that it’s small, we still have clean conditions and are
excited to get things started.”

Mick Fanning (AUS), Taj Burrow (AUS), Kelly Slater (USA) and Andy Irons (HAW)
squaring off against dangerous wildcards Jordy Smith (ZAF), Sunny Garcia (HAW),
Dane Reynolds (USA) and Rob Machado (USA).

ASSOCIATION OF SURFING PROFESSIONALS (ASP) INTERNATIONAL

Boost Mobile Pro of Surf presented by Hurley
Stop No 6. of 10 on the 2007 Foster’s ASP World Tour
Lower Trestles, California USA
September 9-15, 2007

LOWER TRESTLES, California
(Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2007) – The Boost Mobile Pro of
Surf presented by Hurley may be the only Foster’s ASP World Tour event on the
US Mainland, but save 8X ASP World Champion Kelly Slater (USA), it’s
Australian surfers who have dominated the event four out of the last five
years.

Down Under darkhorse Bede Durbidge (AUS) beat Slater in last year’s final to
join countrymen Joel Parkinson (AUS), Richard Lovett (AUS) and Luke Egan (AUS)
on the roster of elite tour surfers to take it all the way at Lower Trestles.

“I’m just really excited to surf Trestles again and to go to California,”
current World No. 7 Durbidge said. “I really like it there and it’s probably
one of the funnest waves in the world. Doing well there last year just gives me
that extra confidence to do well again because I know I have done it before.
I’m really looking forward to the challenge.”

Australian and Current World No. 2 Taj Burrow has not won the Boost Mobile Pro
before, but he did feature in the 2003 final against Lovett. Burrow’s aerial
prowess is perfectly suited to Trestles’ rippable conditions.

“I love Lowers, it’s so good for letting loose,” Burrow said. “If you have
a good board and feel confident, it’s the kind of wave you feel invincible on.
It’s so playful you can do anything you want. So my approach is to pick the
perfect board for out there and start letting loose.”

Burrow, who finished World Title runner-up in 1999 and 2002, knows he needs to
take it to the next level to avoid another bridesmaid season on the Foster’s
ASP World Tour.

“I feel like in a way I've cracked the code to winning events a little easier,
Burrow said. “I've never won two in one year, so having won two out of five
events this year is a great confidence booster. For me to finish No. 1, I need
to maintain that confidence.”

Burrow won the last Foster’s ASP World Tour event in Jeffreys Bay, South
Africa as well as the Bells Beach, Australia event in April. The first event of
the year was won by current ratings leader Mick Fanning (AUS), with whom Burrow
shared the World No. 1 spot earlier this year.

Fanning has also been alluded by a Trestles triumph – a 2003 Semifinal berth
being his best result at the venue.
“I really enjoy surfing the place and find I do well there – I haven't won
that event yet but am really looking forward to it,” Fanning said.

And Fanning’s take on who the most daunting of his closest title contenders
is:

“Kelly, Andy, Taj, Joel…They have all done well there so they are all
threats.”

The Boost Mobile Pro of Surf waiting period stretches from Sept. 9-15 and will
be webcast LIVE on www.aspworldtour.com and www.boostmobilepro.com.

ASSOCIATION OF SURFING PROFESSIONALS (ASP) NORTH AMERICA

Billabong ASP World Junior Championships
Narrabeen, New South Wales, Australia
January 2008

HUNTINGTON BEACH, California
(Tuesday, September 4, 2007) – The completion of
August’s East Coast Surfing Championships has brought the 2007 Association of
Surfing Professionals (ASP) North America Pro Junior Women’s Series to a
close, with Courtney Conlogue (Santa Ana, CA) and Sage Erickson (Ojai, CA)
finishing first and second respectively.

The girls will now represent ASP North America at the Billabong ASP World
Junior Championships held in Narrabeen, Australia next January. The event,
which crowns the undisputed men’s and women’s world junior champions, is
regarded as the benchmark for measuring surfing’s next generation of
superstars.

Conlogue, 15, was on an absolute tear this season, claiming the ASP Grade-2
Billabong Sebastian Inlet Pro Junior as well as the 45th Annual East Coast
Surfing Championships.

“This season was a lot of fun,” Conlogue said. “In March, I went to Florida
for the first time and was able to win that event. I had been to Virginia
before and knew it was going to be small so I just put everything I had into
each turn and came out on top. It was a good season for me.”

The prodigious natural-footer now finds herself as ASP North America’s No. 1
qualifier for the Billabong ASP World Junior Championships, and January will
see Conlogue compete in the prestigious event for the first time.

“Going to the ASP World Junior Championships is a real honor,” Conlogue said.
“I’ve never been to Australia before so it’s going to be a great trip. I
hope I can acclimate to the wave as fast as possible and hopefully come out on
top. A win at the World Junior Championships would have a huge impact on my
career. It would make me so much more marketable and afford me to travel and
compete more internationally.”

Erickson, who represented ASP North America at last January’s Billabong ASP
World Junior Championships, is eager to get back to Narrabeen given the
event’s growing prestige.

“When I went to Narrabeen last year, I didn’t really know too much about the
event,” Erickson said. “It was a huge eye-opener. I had no idea how
important the event is. The caliber of surfing there is incredible and just
competing in the event gives you a huge amount of media exposure. I’m really
excited to be going back.”

Erickson understands the importance of a result at the Billabong ASP World
Junior Championships, but also knows that the event boasts one of the toughest
competitive draws on the planet.

“Between now and January, I have a lot of trips planned,” Erickson said. “I
have two trips to Hawaii this winter and I’ll also be going down to Sydney as
well. I’m just going to be surfing as much as possible and getting
comfortable with my equipment before the World Juniors.”

The top four finishers on the 2007 ASP North America Pro Junior Men’s Series,
as well as the highest finishing North American surfer on the ASP World
Qualifying Series (WQS) who is of junior age (20 and under), will join Conlogue
and Erickson at the Billabong ASP World Junior Championships this January.

Having crowned such superstars as Andy Irons (Hanalei, HI), Joel Parkinson
(Coolangatta, AUS), Adriano de Souza (São Paulo, BRA) and current ASP World
Junior Champion Jordy Smith (Durban, ZAF), the Billabong ASP World Junior
Championships is establishing itself as the benchmark for measuring the next
generation of superstars.

There are two events left on this season’s ASP North America Pro Junior Men’s
Series that will play a critical part in deciding who qualifies for the men.
September will host the ASP Grade-2 Oakley Pro Junior in Newport Beach, CA, and
October will wrap the season with the ASP Grade-3 Oakley Pro Junior in Santa
Cruz, CA.

Rip Curl Girls Festival Spain
Stop No. 4 of 7 on the 2007 ASP Women's World Tour
Santander, Liencres, Spain
September 4-9, 2007

SANTANDER, Spain
(Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2007)- The World’s Top 17 Women will play
the waiting game on the beautiful beaches of Liencres today, with the Rip Curl
Girls Festival being placed on hold as surfers wait for the ocean to deliver.

With a slight increase in swell to clean half-metre waves this morning,
organisers are positive of an early start on Wednesday.

“The forecast for the next three days looks like a good a 1- 1.5 metre swell
and we are looking at the possibility of running Round 1 early tomorrow
morning,” Gerhard D’Avezac Rip Curl Girls Pro Contest Director said. “The
mornings are preferable to the afternoons with light offshore winds. We could
see the Finals take place on either Friday or Saturday.”

The first heat in the water sees former World No. 2 Melanie Redman-Carr (AUS)
take on 2004 ASP World Champion Sofia Mulanovich (PER) and Melanie Bartels
(HAW) in Heat 1, when Stop No. 4 of 7 on the ASP Women’s World Tour gets
underway.

Redman-Carr, who was in the thick of the world title race this time last year,
finds herself down at World No.8 on the ASP ratings and will be eager to
reposition herself at this event.

“I’m happy to get this contest underway but I’m just a little apprehensive
about getting up so early,” Redman-Carr said. “It only gets dark at about
21h00 and we go to bed at about midnight so it’s going to be a struggle to get
up for the 07h30 call tomorrow morning.”

Despite the early start Redman- Carr is optimistic of good waves in Liencres
this week.

“There are some really well formed triangular banks, I’ve seen them on the
low tide,” Redman Carr said. “I think we’re in store for some good waves
when it picks up a little bit.”

Heat 2 sees current World No. 2 Samantha Cornish (AUS) up against Jessi Miley
Dyer (AUS) and Caroline Sarran (FRA), while Chelsea Hedges (AUS) takes on event
wildcard Alana Blanchard (HAW) and Jacqueline Silva (BRA) in Heat 3.

The next call will be made at 07h30 on Wednesday morning.

The waiting period for the Rip Curl Girls Festival, Santander, Spain extends
from September 4- 9, 2007 and needs just two full days of surfing to be
completed.

RIP CURL GIRLS PRO ROUND 1 MATCH-UPS:
Heat 1: Melanie Redman-Carr (Aus); Sofia Mulanovich (PER); Melanie Bartels
(HAW)
Heat 2: Samantha Cornish (AUS; Jessi Miley Dyer (AUS); Caroline Sarran (FRA)
Heat 3: Chelsea Hedges (AUS); Jacqueline Silva (BRA); Alana Blanchard (HAW)
Heat 4: Layne Beachley (AUS); Megan Abubo (HAW); Rochelle Ballard (HAW)

Rip Curl Girls Festival Spain
Stop No. 4 of 7 on the 2007 ASP Women's World Tour
Santander, Liencres, Spain
September 4-9, 2007

SANTANDER, Spain
(Sunday, Sept. 2, 2007) – The ASP Women’s World Tour battle
resumes in the Northern Hemisphere this week, where ASP World Champions will be
looking to set the record straight during Stop No. 4 of 7, the Rip Curls Girls
Festival in Santander, Spain (Sept. 4- 9, 2007).

Two of female surfing’s most prominent figureheads – 2005 ASP World Champion
Chelsea Hedges (AUS) and 7X ASP World Champion Layne Beachley (AUS) – will
start the event off their individual back feet, sitting at 3rd and 7th on the
ASP ratings respectively.

Hedges, who shared the ASP ratings lead with Stephanie Gilmore (AUS) for most
of 2007, has suffered a number of setbacks over the past week, including losing
her World No. 1 spot to Gilmore in Brazil.

“I was pretty disappointed and frustrated in Brazil especially since I felt
like I was surfing really well,” Hedges said. “Luckily we still have four
events left and a lot can happen.”

“If you look at the ratings it is pretty close between all the girls and it
makes it really exciting,” Hedges continued. “I’ve just got to stay
motivated and I’m looking forward to trying to get that World No. 1 spot back
in Spain.”

When Hedges paddles out for her first heat against Jacqueline Silva (BRA) and
wildcard Alana Blanchard (HAW) during Round 1 at the Rip Curl Girls Festival,
it will be her first surf in over a week.

Hedges received five stitches to the left side of her nose from a free surfing
injury which, while keeping her out of the water has increasingly fueled her
need to get back in it.

“I’m not really fussed,” Hedges said. “I’ve kept up my training and if
anything, it has just made me hungrier to get back to it.”

Beachley, like Hedges, is eager to get her feet back on her board in Spain
after an uncharacteristically slow and inconsistent start to the season.

“The first half of the year hasn’t gone the way I’d wanted it too,”
Beachley said. “Now I am in a position of pressure which I tend to relish, so
I am looking forward to the waves breaking here in Spain and re-cementing my
position as a world title contender.”

Beachley has felt the sting from the insurgence of ‘new guard’ surfers on
tour this year, including wildcard Carissa Moore (HAW), Stephanie Gilmore (AUS)
Silvana Lima (BRA,) all of whom have kept surfing’s most prolific female star
at bay.

“There was a lot of attention placed on the new faces last year and many of
them crumbled,” Beachley said. “Well this year I think they’ve found their
feet! Chelsea’s had a world title so she’s hungry for another one and
Stephanie’s come through and performed under the pressure.”

“It’s a really competitive climate at the moment with the teenagers having
nothing but the desire to smash me,” Beachley continued. ”I’m just trying my
best to stay in touch with it all.”

At World No. 7 Beachley is in no eminent danger of meeting any of the young
guns too early on at this event.

Hedges however, will have to contend with the potential potency of wildcard
Alana Blanchard (HAW) who won the Rip Curl Pro Junior Girls division on Sunday.

Blanchard, who competes extensively in the Pro Junior series, will make her
debut on the top tier tour this week, thanks to her wildcard entry.

"I am really excited,” Blanchard said. “I have always wanted to surf on the
World Tour, but I didn't really expect that I would get the chance so soon.
Surfing against girls like Steph [Gilmore] and Layne [Beachley] is going to be
a great experience for me and I'm going to learn a lot from it."

The US$ 80,000 ASP Women’s World Tour competition is the anchor event of the
nine-day Rip Curl Girls Festival which includes a Pro Junior girls event, surf
clinics, yoga, music concerts and more.

“Our idea was to combine every aspect of women’s surfing that we’ve been
working on for the last 5- 6 years, into a single surfing festival,” Franck
Goudou, Sports Marketing Manager for Rip Curl Europe, said. “We wanted to
bring something strong into Spain because it is a rapidly emerging market and
we are looking forward to seeing some world-class surfing from the Top 17 girls
at Liencres.”

The excellent beach breaks of Liencres as well as it’s proximity to the
beautiful city of Santander, have provided the ideal locale for an event of
this nature.

The waiting period for the Rip Curl Girls Festival, Santander, Spain extends
from September 4- 9, 2007 and needs just two full days of surfing to be
completed.

The Rip Curl Girls Festival will be webcast LIVE on www.aspworldtour.com and
www.ripcurl.com/girlsfestival.

ASSOCIATION OF SURFING PROFESSIONALS (ASP) NORTH AMERICA

Oakley Pro Junior presented by Heritage Surf and Sport
Event No. 8 on the 2007 ASP North America Pro Junior Series (Men)
Sea Isle, New Jersey, United States of America
August 31-September 1, 2007

SEA ISLE, New Jersey
(Saturday, September 1, 2007) – Cory Arrambide (Ventura,
CA) has scalped his first Association of Surfing Professionals (ASP) Pro Junior
event today at the Oakley Pro Junior presented by Heritage Surf and Sport in
Sea Isle, New Jersey.

Arrambide, a record-holding amateur competitor, has been a solid performer all
season long on the 2007 ASP North America Pro Junior Series, but had yet to win
a professional event until today.

“I’m so stoked right now,” Arrambide said. “I’ve been trying hard all
season, but it’s just so hard to win these things. There’re so many good
guys. To come all the way out here and win is a great feeling and it puts me in
a really good position for the rest of the season.”

The victory rockets Arrambide from fourth to first on the current ASP North
America Pro Junior ratings, and with the season coming into its final leg, the
young goofy-footer is in a solid position to qualify for the Billabong ASP
World Junior Championships.

“There are two more events left this season and today’s victory puts me in a
good spot to qualify for Narrabeen,” Arrambide said. “The major goal is to
qualify for the WJCs and the win puts me one step closer to doing that. I’m
looking forward to the last two events and I just want to stay consistent.”

The top four competitors on the ASP North America Pro Junior Series by year’s
end, as well as the highest North American surfer on the ASP World Qualifying
Series (WQS) who is of junior age (20 and under), will qualify for the
Billabong ASP World Junior Championships held in Narrabeen, Australia next
January.

The Billabong ASP World Junior Championships is becoming a proven pipeline to
surf superstardom, having crowned such greats as Andy Irons (HAW), Joel
Parkinson (AUS), Adriano de Souza (BRA) and current ASP World Junior Champion
Jordy Smith (ZAF) in recent years.

Next up on the 2007 ASP North America Pro Junior Series is the ASP Grade-2
Oakley Pro Junior in Newport Beach, California followed by the ASP Grade-3
Oakley Pro Junior in Santa Cruz for the 2007 ASP North America Pro Junior
Championships – an event which will prove pivotal in the ratings race this
season.
