It was sunny and 30 degrees celcius, A good day to race. We qualified 4 tenths off of pole, with used tires. We started 4th in the pre-final and finished 5th. For the final i finished 6th even after having to avoid an accident, by using all of the paved runoff area!! These results were good for me, at the end of the final my two front tires had no more rubber left, and i bet three more laps and they would have been corded.
I'am heading out to Calgary this weekend for the Western Rotax Championship finale. It should be a good learning opportunity for me, and a chance to prove my racing skills.
I would like to thank all of my sponsors for supporting me in my racing endeavors.

The Saskatoon Grand Prix started off a bit wet on Friday, with only 3 completly dry sessions all day. The one thing we were able to test was a new motor that we retired to the shop to use it as a paper weight/door stop. So Friday evening we were back in the garage until 1am installing my dad's Senior Rotax motor to my kart and ~ 35 lbs of lead weight so I could make my debut in the Senior class on Saturday and Sunday. The weather for the balance of the wkend was great 30+ with bright sunny skys, I guess summer is here.
Saturday I qualifyed 16th out of 28 karts, made my way up to 15th in the Pre final and raced up to 12th in the final. On Sunday I qualified 14 th, moved up to 13th in the pre final and up another spot in the final finishing 12 th. The racing in the Senior grid compared to the Junior is much tighter with alot more defending of lines and not near as much give and take in the corners and alot more bump and runs. I managed to survive through the wkend with a few rub marks and a couple bent rear bumper bars and a tweaked axle on my kart from the usual suspect. Overall it was a good wkend with progression throughout and I look forward to Calgary on July 25-27.
