We finally had a race event that we could say we felt good about this past wkend in Regina.  We attended the 2nd round of the Western Rok Series hosted by the South Sask Kart Club.  Practice on Saturday went well with steady inprovement every session out.  Sunday brought about a good day as well.  I was quickest in qualifying by .001 of a second and third was .027 behind.  What a  tight field in the top 3.  The first final I startrd on pole and ended up 2nd after some great racing in the infield of the track.  The second final I started 2nd and was in third when an radiator mount broke dropping a hose into the brake rotor finishing my day with 7 laps to go.  Although the day did not end as  we had planned  we showed some speed, worked on the race craft and I was again competive with some of the best Junior drivers that Western Canada has.  I am looking forward to the next round of the Rotax Series in Saskatoon on June 27-29.

Hey all, just a update on what is happening in June.  Since our last outing in Chilliwack I have been busy testing here in Saskatoon on a different chasis.  It is working great, will deadly consistant laps.

I attended my first local club race on June 1/08 and qualified on the pole, won the pre-final race by ~9 seconds and then had trouble run into us 3 times in ~ 6 laps, resulting in a DNF for the final.  My Dad was in fine form for his very first outing of the year in a differnt chasis as well.  He qualified 5th and kept up that pace for the balance of the day.

We plan on testing tomorrow, and look forward to the 2nd stage of the Rok series next wkend in Regina. At present I am in 7th spot in the standings. The following wkend I will be testing in Saskatoon in anticipation for the 2nd round of the Rotax series in Saskatoon running from June 27-29, I am 5th in the points in this series.

That's all for now, will update as the racing weekends happen.
