We left for Chilliwack by van on Wed. June 14, wow that 20 hr drive is no were near as fun as flying!  We met the rest of the Saskatoon Kart racers that afternoon and set to work with practice Thursday night.  We changed played with the motor for Friday practice hoping to find some speed, but by mid day Friday we had to borrow a team mates spare motor.  At the end of the last practice Friday I managed to bang the front end of the kart up while pushing hard into corner #7, much to the displeasure of my mechanic, sorry Dad. Saturday started with practice and then qualifying were I started 6th for the start of the prefinal, and ended the final in 7th.  Sunday I qualifyed 7th, moved up to 4th in the prefinal and ended up 6th in the final.

2 good things about Chilliwack after this race wkend, we do not have to go back this yr. and we had great weather.  First time in 5 visits that it did not rain.  Hopefully getting back home, and being able to spend some more seat time will help us out for the 2nd round of the Rotax series on June 27-28-29.

Flew into Abortsford Friday May 2/08 what a treat.  Met the rest of Team Attack at the track and set up for Saturday practice.  Saturday started out in the rain, go figure, and session # 1went well getting settled into the kart.  Session # 2 started out OK til the main jet fell out into the carb bowl, Session #3 had the throttle cable come loose, Session #4 had the pick up coil pack it in.  By this time I am thinking that this should be all of our bad luck for the season all wrapped up into one day.  Session #5 was on a drying track, mixed in with a spin in corner #7 and the last session of the day was on a dry track with nothing major to report. Qualifying went as well as it could off, despite the lack of track time with a 3rd.

Sunday brought about two finals to determine points for the day, I  was battling for 3 or 4th when I spun the kart in corner #1 and finished 7 in the first final.  In the second final started 7th and was battling for 3 or 4th and again spun the kart off the track, for a 7th place finish.  We had a tough first outing for our first race of the Rok  season, {new chassis, tire package and  motor}, but will rebound when we get to Lumsden for round 2 on June 14-15 2008
