The second round of the season whent ok. We had troubles in qualifying and only got 3 laps, I started from 5th. In the first race I whent from 5th to 2nd. And in the final i finished second, we missed out on the gearing, but we learned valuable data for the western series race.

The first round of this series was a rollercoaster of emotions, we had gone down to the very bottom but managed to climb back up to the top. For the first pre-final i started last because i didn't qualify. I ended up in 9th, for the first points final I started 9th and got up to 3rd. The next day we practised at 9 in the sunshine, but we raced at 12:30 in the rain. I took off in the rain winning by a gap of 20 secs. All in all it was a very good weekend and I look forward to the next series race on my home turff.

The first race day of the season, and of my new class Rotax Jr. The race day started off well, my practise whent very good. When qualifying came around i knew we had hit our stride we qualified in 2nd but just by 0.07 of a second it was real close. For the races we had decided that today was a learning day, so i whent out and chased the first place driver bumper to bumper for 18 laps, I had learned valuable information in this race. For the final race(the one that mattered) I started second I followed him once again figuring out were his weak parts were and were i could start to set him up for a pass; when the last lap board came out I immediatley passed him, and in 1 lap i had opened up 3 lengths on him. I look forward to my first of a 3 race series starting in Chilliwak B.C, in 2 weeks time.

The western Canadian Rotax series is a points accumulation of best 5 out of 6 races. The locations of these three events are Chilliwak B.C, Saskatoon Sk, and Calgary Ab. Their are three rotax classes Rotax jr, Rotax sr, and the Rotax masters. The winners of this series will be representing Canada at the Rotax Grand Nationals in Dubai.

My first test at Saskatoon whent really good. I posted the fastest lap of my class; I was only 4 tenths off the track record! I also figured out some more tricks to the rotax. Don't worry I will be posting pictures of my new kart shortly.
