Overview

How I got started

I got started in biking in 8th grade. I rode my department store bike very aggresively, i started looking on the internet and got into the whole freeride/downhill scene. I took a trip to whistler and rented a bike, from that moment on i knew biking was for me. I saved for a year and a half and bought an ironhorse downhill bike. 3 months later I entered my first downhill race, I got 7th of out 11 racers in beginner class, but I didn`t care that I did poorly at that race, it was the best time of my life, I loved it. Then from there on out I pushed myself to do better and to train and it has paid off beautifully. I love racing now and I want to pursue it on a professional level.

Goals for the Future

I plan on racing downhill at many venues around the western United States and Canada. I am going to race semi professionally next season and race many US national events.

Bio

What inspires you to compete?

I compete for the satisfaction of trying hard and knowing I tried hard. I am always trying to best myself and moving up in the ranks and getting good results makes me happy.

Describe your style...

My style off and on the bike is one to be noticed. My riding style is very flashy and fun when its all fun and games, but once it comes down to race time, its all business. Off the racing scene I`m a very easy going, outgoing guy that loves to just have a good time.

Do you train? What does your schedule look like?

My training schedule is very intense and I hold myself to it. My training for each season starts when the last season ends, I ride throughout the winter regardless of weather, honing my skills, just to get the competive jump on other racers than will be inside playing videogames.

What do you want to be when you grow up?

My goal in life is to keep riding and just be happy with my lifestyle, maybe not to be rich, just make enough to be able to keep riding and do want I love.

Do you like to travel? What's your best (clean) road trip story?

I love to travel, the farther the better. I love to go to new places to race and meet new people.
