It's hard to believe it's already April and a quarter way through the season already.  To date I have been to 3 ABA National events, 2 NBL Nationals and 1 state race.  I'm off to a better start than last year and hope to continue to step it up and continue to improve through the season.  The new season brings back the usual top riders in my class, and a lot of guy's that have stepped it up and are looking to make a name for themselves; myself included!

So far this year I have performed pretty well, making all of my mains except two.  I have earned 1 first place win a couple seconds and thirds in Cruiser.  In class I placed fourth in Phoenix; this I felt was pretty good considering we had a rider count of 41.  I have a couple 5th's and 7ths for my other races.  I'm hoping to improve in my class finishes.  In the state Qualifier I placed 1st in both class and cruiser.  As I mentioned I went to two NBL races, but didn't do well at them.  In Boulder, I went over the bar's in the second turn on the first race of the weekend and that ended my racing for the weekend.  Luckily nothing broke, but I was out for a couple weeks with badly bruised knee and sprained wrist.

In summary, It's been a pretty good start, but need to improve in my class finishes.  I have been a little banged up but nothing to serious.  I'm looking forward to the rest of the race season.

This was very fun national for me and my mom. We are both big Bronco fans and we were right in the heart of Bronco land. This was a mom and son bonding trip, my dad stayed home. He`s a Browns fan anyways! My mom and I went and bought a grip of Bronco gear. My mom told me if I got a first place in any of my races she would get me a John Lynch jersey. So the pressure was on!

Saturday I made both mains in Cruiser and Class...I placed 4th in Cruiser and a disappointing 8th in class. Sunday was a much better day for me. I made the mains in Open, Class and Cruiser. Although I didn`t do well in class (8th again) I was pretty happy with making the main in 15-16 open since I was the only 15 year old in the main. I placed 5th in Open, not too bad. But my best race was in Cruiser. I got 1st place and earned a John Lynch Jersey and received some well need national points.

In all I really enjoyed my trip to Denver and was pleased with my performance. I got to spend some quality time with my mom and came home with a grip of Bronco gear. GO BRONCOS!

This past weekend I attended the Salt Lake City National, in Salt Lake City, Utah. As always it was beautiful weather and great scenery.
This was my first National since turning 15 years old. Considering the talent level at this age group I thought I did OK for the first time out. I was taken out in qualifying on Saturday in cruiser during the second qualifying round. The rider that took me out was DQ’d, but that didn’t help me in advancing to the next round. In class I wasn’t anymore successful.
Sunday was a much better day for me. I placed 4th in cruiser and missed making the main by one position in class. I was disappointed not to make the main in class on Sunday. I was riding well, but with this class of competition it’s important to be consistent in getting good gates and riding smooth. Any mistakes and it will cost you dearly.
Well, I’ll be off to Colorado this weekend. I’m hoping for much better results. See you there!

Southwest National, Las Vegas Nevada, 2006 - This was a great venue for BMX racing and I had a great time.
I had a good weekend in Cruiser; I needed it! I placed third both days against some stiff competition. I`m hoping this will put me in the top 10 in NAG points. On Sunday I raced Open, I didn`t do as well as I liked but I managed a 7th place.
I was very disappointed not to make mains in class either day. I made it to semi`s on Sunday, but had a very tough rack and just finished behind the 3rd and 4th place riders. Just have to train harder!
In summary, it was a very exciting weekend in Las Vegas and I had a great time hanging out with all my BMX friends.

This past Weekend I competed at the Lumberjack National in Eugene, Oregon.
I had a good weekend, finishing a strong 3rd in Cruiser and 4th in Class on Saturday. Sunday I finished with a 4th in Cruiser and 4th in Class.
With these finishes I`m hoping to move back into the top ten in Cruiser NAG and break the top 20 in Class NAG.
My next National will be in Las Vegas. This will be my last National as a 14X and I hope to solidify my placement in the NAG standings. It should be a great National!

I recently attended the Midwest National in Rockford, Ill. This was my first time attending this National and I loved the track. It was one of the best I have rode.

I had a pretty good weekend. Saturday I placed seventh in both 14X Cruiser and Class. I was very happy to make my main in class considering I had 45 riders. That`s the biggest rider count I have ever competed in. Sunday I raced Open in addition to Class and Cruiser. I placed 5th in both Open and Cruiser and I made it to semi`s in Class.

In all it was a pretty good weekend. I made 4 out of 5 mains and got to ride against some of the best riders in my class. It was a great time!
