How I got started

My stepdad got my stepbrother and I started when we were five years old. We started out on Yamaha PW50s. For a couple years we just rode in fields around our house and on the 50 track we built in my backyard. In 1998 my oldest brother started racing. I really wanted to try, so in 1999 my stepdad finally took me out to U.S. 51 MX Park (Wapella, IL, our local track until it closed) to practice and see if I really liked it. By the end of 1999 I convinced him I was interested enough and prepared enough to race. My first race was in October 1999 in the 80JR. class, and I've been racing since then.

Finish top 10 in state points in 250B and 14-24
Finish top 5 at every race
