I just got back from the first annual Whitface 5k downhill race and I`m smiling ear to ear. Whiteface is one incredible mountain which built an incredible race course with times ranging from 6.5 to 9 minutes long. We even managed to dodge tropical storm Ernesto for a perfect race weekend.

The course was a combination of high speed open sections and tight technical switchbacks which never got boring. I crashed twice on my race run but really connected with the course and still managed to grab 5th place. I will defenitely be back next year to grab a podium spot.

On the way home I stopped by Plattekill to help work on the course for the 5th race of the Plattekill downhill series for next weekend.
