I ended up tearing the Meniscus in my left knee which requires an Arthroscopy. I had surgery yesterday and am at home for a week recuperating. I am still waiting to hear from my Orthopedist as to the recovery/rehab period. I expect to be off the dirt for about 2 months. Hopefully I will be back to racing in time for the NMBS Finals in Brian Head.

6/7/08 - 6/8/08
Headed out to Santa Barbara to attend Team Big Bear's Elings Park #1 race which was also part of the Santa Barbara Bike Festival. Got there bright and early Saturday morning for DH practice. Took a few runs on the Socom and decided to race on a HT instead. It was a fast flowy course with berms and jumps. I ended up 1st in Expert Women 19+ on Saturday.
Sunday we got to race on the newly built Dual Slalom course. This is my 1st year racing DS and I love it!! I ended up 3rd in the Open Women DS class.

5/31/08 - 6/1/08 Headed out to Fontana for Round #3 of the Golden State DH Series. Got there early to do some push up runs before the shuttle started up. Felt really good in practice, it was a tad bit hot, so opted for elbow and knee guards instead of my full body armor. Had good starts and really held it together in the top rock sections, got a little sideways in a few of the corners, but overall 2 great runs. Ended up 1st in Expert Women DH 35+.

5/22/08 - 5/26/08 Sun, rain, snow, mud, roots, rocks and a really long DH course, what better way to spend a week in Angel Fire, New Mexico!!! This was my 1st time attending the Chile Challenge and I had a blast. There were 11 women in my class and I ended up 7th. It was a long, tough course but I loved it.
