Another year of SRC racing has come and gone. Thanks to Donny and SRC for another fabulous season of DH racing in Socal.

We had a reasonable Path Team turnout for the DH race on Sunday including: Eric, Winston, Lacey, Teague, Allison, Justin, Stephanie and myself. They used the 2005 Cal State course which was fun, fast and loose!! I had the pleasure of racing 4 other women inthe Pro Women's class and was happy to represent!

After purchasing a 2003 Intense Spider, I decided to test my fitness level by racing XC for a change. It was cool day and The Path and STR was well represented. I decided to enter the Sport Women 50+ class so I could start early and race 3 laps on the 5 mile course.

I started off conserving energy, busted out the 2nd lap and ended up a little slower on the 3rd lap than I intended due to not having quite enough food to refuel. All in all it was a good day. Next year I will have to improve my time by 5 minutes to be on the top of the podium. It's my first time on the podium at this race so I finally have one of the coveted handmade trophies!
