Overview

How I got started

I raced Motocross and Desert in the 60-70`s so mountain biking just seemed like a natural extension. I started riding mountain bikes for fun in the early 80`s. In 2000 I decided I would race XC for fun at the Norba Nationals in Mammoth. After that I tried Sea Otter. Discovering that being a competitive XC racer was not in my future, I continued the search for another sport. I found downhill racing at the Women`s Only Weekend in Big Bear in 2002. I raced my Santa Cruz Superlight and won 2nd in my class. I immediately went home and told my husband that I needed a real downhill bike. The rest is history in the making...

Goals for the Future

I will be continuing my training with James Wilson of MTB Strength Training in preparation for the 2008 Season. I will also be racing XC and Dual Slalom this year in addition to DH and Super D.
