I went to the Northeast youth Loretta Lynn Regional this weekend and I had a ball. I was already qualified in the 65cc stock 7-9 class but i was still trying to qualify for the 7-11 mod class. I did what mostly everyone else does and I ran the class that I was already qualified in(because mxsports allowed me to). The first moto i started out in second and quickly moved into the lead. By the end of the race I had a 38.7 second lead on second place(WOW). The second moto I started out in third place and I moved into first place by the second lap I pulled a fifteen second lead on second place by the end of the race. The third moto I started in fourth place and by the second lap i worked my way into first place. I strated to pull a big lead and the the white flag came out so right before I completed the race on the last turn before the finish line hill I stopped, shut my bike off took off my goggles and watched all of the kids I race against finish the race. I then started my bike when everyone was off the track and finihed the race. I did this so I wouldn't take a qualifing postion away from someone. I gave up a 1-1-1 finish and a 4 foot trophy at a loretta lynn regional to be a good sport! I hope one day it comes back to me. Needless to say I did not qualify for the mod class I had some bad luck and on the last moto I was sleeping on the gate. I started from 22nd place and worked my way to 11th. Maybe I'll get in as an alternate with a 10th overall. Wish me luck at Lorettas.

What a bummer I was running in second place at ponca city in the 6-8 65cc stock class and I had 3 jumps and 2 turns to go till the checkered flag and my chain breaks. THAT REALLY STINKS! I would have gone into the main event with a 4 and 2. The good news is that even though I got a DNF I am still sitting in 14th place and 15th and under goes on to the main on Saturday. The other good news is that my chain broke after I did a double and not on the landing of a double. It's good to be positive. look at my results to see how I did in all 5 of my classes.

Well talk about some bad luck. I had a great day in practice on Friday but Saturday and Sunday were a different story. My first 50 moto out I got the holeshot was leading the race, got passed cause I bobbled and was in a clean second place when all of a sudden I was charging a turn and went to go hit my back brake and figured out very quickly that I didn't have any back brakes so I hit a rut and flipped overall my handlebars. I had a pretty good lead on third and fourth but I couldn't get going before they got to me so now I was in fourth place. This all happened in the first lap. So now I decided to still race this very hilly track with no back brakes, A couple of times I tried to use onl;y my front brake but there were so many braking bumps going down the hills I almost flipped over the handlebars so I just went a fast as I could and just idled to the turns A couple of guys passed me be I managed to salvage seventh place. Moto 2 Igot a really bad start I was 16th around the first turn in a quarter of a lap I got into 7th place then I worked my way to 5th place and then when I was about to pass fourth he flipped over his handlebars into my rut so to avoid running him over I slammed on my brakes and I flipped over the handlebars. I managed to salvage 9th place. Moto 3 I new my chances at this point were slim at maki ng it so I said I'm just going to go out there and race and that's just what I did! I got 7th inthe holeshot and moved into a clean third place and that's where I finished. That gave me a 6th place overall. As far as my 65 Thank Goodness for more areas because that was a disaster.

In addition to lake Whitney I also raced at Oakhill this month too. I rode hard and made my parents proud. The only thing I didn't like about Oakhill is that I signed up to race a motocross National but ended up racing a supercross/arenacross. I'll let you know what I mean by that, The 1st moto of the 7-8 stock class I got 2nd place all to find out that the people running the national decide that for the first time they wanted to do winner takes all in the 2nd moto. The second place that I got was just for gate pick. Second moto I get the holeshot after the first couple of turns I slid out where the second place rider passes me I recover quickly all to fall a half of lap later right in front of my mom. I started back up again in about 14th place and worked my way back to 5th place at a National in 2 and a half laps. So not only did they decide to crown a champion in a one moto format but then they only gave us 3 laps to do it. So I ended 5th overall in the 7-8 50cc stk class all to find out later that in a regular motocross race I ended up with 7 points which earned me a 2nd overall at another National. Despite getting short changed from another podium they gave out a beautiful trophy and I got two awesome holeshot posters from both Nationals for my Dad to hang in his trailer. Would I go back again next year...Probably.

well I raced at Lake Whitney this month and I had a lot of fun. I ended up with a second overall finish in the 7-8 50cc class. Not to bash Whitney or anything but It really has room for improvement on the way it was run. First off when you drive from New York to Texas and get stuck in a snow storm, miss a 50cc llqualifier so you can get to Whitney on time for the early practice and actually make it there at 6:00am in time for the gates to open on Monday just to have them tell you that you can not come in the gates because of the mud the rain caused really ticks you off. P.S they didn't let us in the gates until 2:30pm. Then despite all the mud They parked us in a field with cow poopie all around. I ride hard all week and end up with a second place overall and they aren't even kind enough to put 1st 2nd and 3rd on the podium they only interviewed 1st. They gave me a number 2 plate and a plaque with a sprocket attached to it.(cool plaque but not NATIONAL quality.) Despite all that I still managed to have a great time and exceeded my parents and my expectations. Would I go back next year...Probably.

This June after not making it past the Loretta regionals I figured I would still train hard for the other Nationals because I know I have what it takes. So I threw my leg over my bike and I started to practice turns within 15 minutes from getting on the track I grabbed too much front brake on my 65 and before I knew it I was laying on the ground with a broken arm and the wind knocked out me. That is the 4th brake in 19months!! But you will see I will come back stronger the ever and the only thing I could think about is Thank God I didn't make it to Lorettas this year!!
