Luke- I was testing Spyder race suits in the wind tunnel in 2005. We had a few different materials to test and find the best application for Spyder to use in their suits. The goal is to produce the least amount of drag. At 70mph in the tunnel there was a difference of one pound and even a couple tenths of a pound of drag between suits. That adds up and especially a DH like Wengen where it's a 2min 28sec race every hundredth of a second counts. We were talking after a few rounds of testing and I thew out that every hunny matters. That quote on the race suits, "hundies matter" was spawned that day. It's a reminder to those who wear a Spyder suit and to Spyder's commitment to the race world. The number you have on the inside of the suit represents the actual number off the production line. Daron |

Yes, Unfortunately 48 Straight is not going to happen this year. Jeep pulled out due to finances and the tour could not go on without their support. IT's a huge loss for skiing, ski cross and guys like me. IT was the best tour around for ski cross and I will miss the courses, music, good times and the competition that 48 Straight delivered the last two seasons. To fill those gaps this season I hope to be free skiing deep pow at Sugar Bowl and training on their Ski Cross course. I will compete in two World Cup ski cross events that will qualify me for the Olympics in Lake Placid, NY and Cypress, Canada, the World Championships in Japan and Winter X Games Skier X. Stay in tune with my season right here. Thanks for the continued support! Daron |

Alberto- Stay in touch and seriously think about coming to Cali in June. We can go ski Mammoth and then race the Mammoth Motocross the same week. Hope you get the job done in Canada. I just got back from Mammoth today and it's awesome skiing there. Take care, D |

Hey Daron, I just read that there will be no "Jeep Tour" this year! It suxx! Will there still be a way for you to qualify for the Olympics? (As far as I know you tried to qualify by attending at these 48Straight-races?? Please correct me if I'm wrong...) Which races are you plaining to take part upcoming months now? |
