$3 Million Ski Sale
I flew out to Rochester, NY on behalf of ATOMIC for a huge ski sale. The Dome’s
3 Million Dollar Ski Sale that is. The two local ski shops, The Ski Company and The Snow, filled 8 tractor trailers of skis, snowboards, boots, poles, bindings, jackets, pants, gloves, hats and socks. I posted up under the Atomic tent and signed hats and posters for the crowd. Atomic had their new film, “Skiing IS_____” posters for me to sign. The deal was, for a signed poster, they had to fill in the blank with a word they felt fit the best. Cool, Sweet, Epic, Scary, Awesome, Fun were most of the words, but one stands out that came from a snowboarder. He said, “dumb” and went to write it, but had the sharpie upside down. HA…He pulled off the definition of dumb right there. He penned it in and we both laughed. Red Bull’s FMM Josh showed up to drop off product before heading to a Red Bull Break Dancing show. My former Atomic USA boss, Ed who lives in Rochester swung by too. I got on the mic with The Buzz 98.9 who were running a live radio show and gave the Dome some props. Atomic Nomad skis and GS 12’s were getting snatched up like hot cakes. Other skiers who were there included AJ Kitt, Tanner Hall, Eric Pollard, Andy Maher and Sage Cattabriga Alosa. Now back on the plane to San Diego.
