The 4th Annual Royal Purple Powder Puff Race for the Cure is the largest all-women driver event that helps raise money for breast cancer research. Women drivers, co-drivers and their teams from throughout the country will head over to Barstow, California this October 9-10, 2009. The track this year was a 20-mile Mojave off-road loop with vehicles split into two different heats.Proceeds and donations acquired from this event will benefit Cedars-Sinai Breast Cancer Research Center. Royal Purple has started off the donations with a $40,000 check. Every donation counts. Nearly 200,000 women and 2,000 men will be diagnosed with breast cancer this year and about 40,000 women and 400 men will die from breast cancer this year. M.O.R.E (Mohave Off-Road Racing Enthusiast) and The Off-Road Community have come together to support the fight against Breast cancer, “we are growing every year and plan on doing so until we find the cure. Please come out and support this Great Cause.”

A nutritious, low-fat diet with plenty of fruits and vegetables can help reduce the risk of developing breast cancer. A high-fat diet increases the risk because fat triggers estrogen production that can fuel tumor growth.
