Rocky’s Autos Late Models Feature #1
20 late models hit the track for the first of two 40 lap A Mains.
#31 Richard Smith had the pole with #10 Tyler Chrisinger on the outside. #11 Darren Robertson was on the inside of row two alongside #95 Cristofer Muhler. #42 Ronnie Hults followed behind in row three.
Chrisinger quickly moved into the lead with Rick Smith and Darren Robertson duking it out for 2nd. Robertson made it around the inside hurtling to the tail of Chrisinger. Before long, Robertson was coming along the inside of Tyler Chrisinger for the lead!
#95 Cristofer Muhler got around Rick Smith taking 3rd, he was followed by Ronnie Hults who took 4th.
It was an intense 4 car break away between Chrisinger, Darren Robertson, Muhler and Hults with no clear indication of who would take stand out. Robertson came around the outside of Chrisinger on lap 17 but some fancy driving kept Robertson at bay.
All leaders were navigating lapped traffic when #12 Bruce Yackey joined the pack in 5th place. At lap 22, Robertson made another move, this time on the inside of Chrisinger but lapped traffic kept him behind. Tyler Chrisinger wasn’t giving away a thing.
Robertson made another move on lap 25, this time coming around the outside of Chrisinger at turn 3. The two dragged along the front stretch with Robertson coming out on top.
Darren Robertson pulled away, widening his lead, Muhler maintained a steady 2nd and Yackey was close behind.
The field opened up at lap 31. Muhler in 2nd and Yackey in 3rd stayed on Robertson while Chrisinger in 4th and Hults in 5th slipped several car lengths behind. With two laps to go it was clear that Robertson would take the win. #11 Darren Robertson passed the checkered flag followed by #95 Cristofer Muhler, #12 Bruce Yackey& #10 Tyler Chrisinger

Rocky’s Autos Late Models Feature #2
20 Late models took to the track for the second 40 lap main event.
It was #10 Tyler Chrisinger on the pole with #42 Ronnie Hults on the outside. The two were followed by #12 Bruce Yackey on the inside of row two with #95 Cristofer Muhler on the outside. #11 Darren Robertson started in 5th place.
Ronnie Hults took an early lead followed by Muhler, Yackey, Avants and Chrisinger.
By lap 4 #78 Darren Crocker had moved into 5th place.
1 quarter of the way through the race Hults was still in 1st, Muhler had 2nd and Yackey was sticking 3rd.
Hults and Muhler moved way ahead of the field through the next 10 laps.
At lap 34 Muhler began to close the gap between himself and Hults. Caution on the speedway brought the leaders Hults and Muhler back together for a single file restart. It was bad timing for Hults, whose car was getting loose.
Just prior to caution, #11 Darren Robertson, winner of the evening’s first A Main left the track.
With only 3 laps to go Muhler and Yackey passed Hults on the inside! It was Muhler for the win followed by Yackey, Hults, Avants and Crocker.
Muhler said, "I don’t want to talk about the championship yet because we have a lot of races yet to win against a lot of really fast competitors.”

RMMRA Midgets
9 midgets hit the track for the 20 lap main event. #22 Brian Postle had the pole with #10 Don Johnson on the outside. #6 Michael Heberling had the inside of row two with #77 Mike Boesel on his outside.
Through the first several laps, these machines epitomized the term “rubbing is racing”, and in an open wheel division, you can imagine the intensity!
At lap 6 it was the driver who started in 2nd to last place, #14 Tony Rossi who broke away for the lead as the crowd roared with excitement. He was followed by #12 Keith Rauch in 2nd with #48 Michael Marfia a mere ¼ of the track behind weaving through traffic with his eye on the lead.
With 3 to go, Rossi and Rauch were coming up on lapped traffic.
At the finish, Rossi stuck it for the win followed by Rauch and Marfia. The Midgets ran a clean race without a single lap of caution.
1 #14 TONY ROSSI, 2 #12 KEITH RAUCH, 3 #48 MICHAEL MARFIA, 4 #6M JUSTIN MALLO, 5 #3 JULIE JAMISON, 6 #77 MIKE BOESEL, 7 #6 MICHAEL HEBERLING, 8 #22 BRIAN POSTLE, 9 #10 DON JOHNSON
Doc Popcorn Super Stocks
28 Super Stocks hit the track for the 25 lap main event.
#01 Jason Morris had the pole with #81 Robert Foster on the outside. #92 Alexander Grasso was on the inside of row two with #17 Jeremy Barclay on the outside. #00 Dennis Edwards had the inside of row 3.
The 28 cars on the oval looked like rush hour traffic going into the first lap. The drivers were taking the turns 3 wide and a massive pile up ensued before the completion of lap 1.
On the restart Robert Foster shot ahead from the outside of row one for the lead.
Foster and Jeremy Barclay lead the pack on the restart and drag raced through the first 2 laps. Barclay took the lead coming through turn 4 at lap 9. Caution on the speedway on lap 15 lead to a double file restart, killing the Barclay's lead. It didn’t matter as the Super Stock’s time had run out resulting in a green and white checkered flag. Barclay held his lead, taking the win followed by #19 Scott Miller, #92 Alexander Grasso, and #36 Matthew Burton.
In 5th place, was Michael Cox in the #3 car sponsored in part by bigwestracing.com. Cox, clearly the hard charger of the race, started in 19th place.
1 #17 JEREMY BARCLAY, 2 #19 #SCOTT MILLER, 3 #92 ALEXANDER GRASSO, 4 #36 MATTHEW BURTON, 5 #3 MICHAEL COX, 6 #01 JASON MORRIS, 7 #8 RYAN MOSER, 8 #02 CECIL SMITH, 9 #23 GEORGE GALLEGOS, 10 #81 ROBERT FOSTER, 11 #00 DENNIS EDWARDS, 12 #46 RICHARD LOTHERT, 13 #75 EMILIO ABEYTA, 14 #07 JOEL SIDELL, 15 #1 JEFFREY SLUSS, 16 #33 #MICHAEL BUCK, 17 #58 TIMOTHY WEAVER, 18 #09 JOHN PATEE, 19 #7 DOUGLAS MCFARLAND JR, 20 #49 # WILLIAM LESMERISES, 21 #20 DAVID SCHMIDT, 22 #30 CONNIE COX, 23 #10 MARIO GARRAMONE, 24 #47 DONALD MCATEE JR, 25 #90 KYLE PATEE, 26 #25 #KATHEY CALKINS, 27 #39 JOHN NUGENT, 28 #21 JUSTIN PURVIS
Loveland Goodyear Figure 8s
18 cars hit the track for the 20 lap figure 8 A Main. It was #17 Harry Livermore on the pole with #81 David Smith on the outside. #25 Phil Taylor had the inside of row 2 riding along side #24 Joe Martinez.
It was standard mayhem for the figure 8s throughout the 20 lap main event. There was some confusion at the checkered flag as to who one the race. Duran had the lead but spun out, and from the perspective of the crowd, it didn’t seem that he ever passed the finish line.
Regardless of race fan perspective, the track officials called it a win for Al Duran.
1 #23 AL DURAN, 2 #90 JOHN JOHNSON, 3 #22 JOE MATLOCK, 4 #26 NICHOLAS MARTINEZ, 5 #17 HARRY LIVERMORE JR, 6 #24 JOE MARTINEZ, 7 #25 PHIL TAYLOR, 8 #95 EDDIE FLOYD JR, 9 #81 DAVID SMITH, 10 #03 BOBBY ZIKE, 11 #66 JOHN MARTELLO, 12 #05 JEROME HOHN JR, 13 #86 SHIRLEY THOMPSON, 14 #69 #TAMMY TOTOS, 15 #15 JEREME WALL, 16 #50 JUSTIN MCKEACHIE, 17 #12 # JAMES NARANJO, 18 #52 JARED WALL

Dodge City, KS— June 13, 2009—Mother Nature tried her best to slow down Joey Saldana after his win on Friday night, as heavy rain led to a three delay on Saturday night after the first seven laps of the A-Feature were in the books for the World of Outlaws at Dodge City Raceway Park. Saldana was out front when the rains hit and he and his team overcame a blown engine during hot laps leading up to the resumption of the race, to lead the remaining laps to sweep the Boot Hill Showdown with the cameras from SPEED capturing all the action. Saldana has four career wins at Dodge City to lead all drivers and also leads the series this season with 10 A-Feature wins in 2009. He used the victory in the finale of the Boot Hill Showdown to move into the second spot in the World of Outlaws championship standings as he chases his first career title aboard the Budweiser Maxim. “My guys did an awesome job,” said Saldana. “We blew up in hot laps and made a pretty quick motor change. We didn't get to work on our car and definitely didn't have the best car. I guess we led the lap that mattered most. My guys did a tremendous job tonight. I don't know too many teams that could have pulled that off. This all goes out to them.” Saldana started second and charged to the lead with Donny Schatz chasing him in the early going. The first stoppage of the night occurred on the fifth lap when the red flag flew for a Ben Gregg flip and was followed a lap later with another red for a hard accident involving Jason Meyers, who was running fourth and had something break on the car sending him into the turn four wall. Just one lap later, the red flag flew again, this time for rain. “I watched a little TV and was hoping we would get it in,” said the winner of what he did during the delay. “This is a great facility and it would have been a shame to have lost it to rain, so I am glad we got it in.” When the race resumed, some three hours and 22 minutes later, Saldana quickly pulled out to a sizeable lead over Schatz. The pair got to lapped traffic late in the race, with Schatz gaining ground over the last few laps. With just two laps to go, Schatz ran side-by-side with Saldana through turns one and two, with the latter pulling away on the back straightaway. On the final lap, Schatz went high off turn four and came up just 18-thousandths of a second short at the line. “That was the only chance I really had, when we got to a little traffic,” said Schatz. “It was just one of those nights.” Schatz wound up second in the Armor All J&J and retained the lead in the World of Outlaws championship standings. A standing room only crowd was on hand for the event, with a hearty bunch waiting out the rain delay to see Saldana pick up the 49th win of his World of Outlaws career. He is now just two behind Jac Haudenschild for eighth on the all-time list. “Thank you guys for staying,” said the second generation driver to the diehard fans that stuck out the delay. “It sure was some crazy weather tonight. This is a great facility and you are lucky to have it, so support it every week. Hopefully we'll get to come back next year.” Sam Hafertepe Jr. battled Schatz for second early in the race taking the spot on the opening lap in turn two, with the latter retaking the position down the back straightaway. For Hafertepe, it was his third Top-Five finish of the season in the Fusion Energy Boost machine. “Everyone stuck it out tonight and they did a heck of a job getting the track back in shape,” said Hafertepe. “I wish we could have gotten it in before the rain. I appreciate all the fans for sticking around. It's great to come to a facility like this and hopefully we'll come back next year.” After a hard flip on Friday night, Hafertepe and his crew worked hard all day to rebuild their car and were fast right out of the box on Saturday, setting fast time in qualifying for the first time in 2009. He came from fourth to finish second in the first heat race to earn a spot in the Crane Cams Dash, where he ran third to earn a second row starting spot in the 30-lap contest. “We thought we lost this car last night and it's a blessing that this car is so fast,” said the native of Sunnyvale, Texas. “We've been so good with this thing and everything is going right for us right now. We're just happy to be going to some tracks we know and hopefully we can put together some more strong runs.” Tim Kaeding finished fourth in the DTR Transport KPC, with Kansas native Tony Bruce Jr. in fifth. Jason Sides was sixth in the Wetherington Tractor Service Maxim. Danny Lasoski was seventh aboard the Casey's General Store Maxim, with Sammy Swindell eighth piloting the Tom Rolfe Trucking Maxim. Kraig Kinser was ninth in the Bass Pro Shops Maxim with Craig Dollansky rounding out the Top-10 in the DirecTV Maxim. Snap-On Tools Pro Trucks The die hard fans who ventured out to CNS despite the possibility of foul weather were treated to a night of clear skies and some of the most intense racing action of the season. The race was action packed as drivers competed aggressively for the win, with one racer being thrown out and suspended due to aggression. 13 pro trucks hit the track for the 30 lap main event. #36 Rick Burton had the pole with #74 Cristofer Muhler on the outside, in row two it was #7 Adam Deines on the inside with #32 Mark Neff on the outside followed by #1 Happy Ferree on the inside of row 3. By lap 3 Chris Muhler had raced into 1st as the speedy Happy Ferree moved into 3rd. Muhler and Deines drag raced for 1st and it was Muhler who came out on top for the lead. Happy continued his search for the line into first as Deines pulled past Muhler for 1st coming through turn 3 of lap 4. Just then, while attempting a pass on the outside, Happy Ferree spun out Chris Muhler earning Happy a trip to the rear of the field for rough driving. On the restart Deines had the pole with Muhler on the outside. Mark Neff had the inside of row 2 with #07 Chris Leaf on the outside. Being sent to the back didn’t faze Ferree who briskly navigated from last to 10th to 8th to 6th place at lap 13. As Neff moved into 2nd place, Ferree pushed Leaf out of the way coming around the back stretch. The move earned him a black flag for rough driving but he refused to leave the track, driving through 6 more laps. Deines kept his lead with Muhler moving in on Mark Neff making it hard for Neff to maintain 2nd. At the checkered flag it was #7 Adam Deines followed by #32 Mark Neff, #74 Cris Muhler and #0 Billy Harkins. By lap 7 the leaders were already navigating lapped traffic. Coming around lap 13 #24 Jay Sant had moved up into a distant 3rd. Still it was the lightning fast #9 Nick Burton who crossed the finish first, followed by #5 Brandon Steele, #24 Jay Sant, #56 Troy Simpson and #19 Larry Pachello. Both determined to pass Webber for the lead, #8 Jon Krizman took the high line while Terry Plummer went low going into turn 3 at lap 3. The three were in a heated duel for 1st when contact on the track behind them resulted in a massive pile up. Bill Yeros took a hard hit resulting in a red flag. Soon after, Bill emerged from his car, waving to the relieved crowd. On the restart Krizman sped ahead of the pack, maintaining a lead over Terry Plummer who followed close behind. 10 laps saw virtually no change in the field aside from the hard charging #3 Wayne Barlock who passed #03 Darrell Stewart for third place coming through lap 16. At lap 23 Terry Plummer was moving on the outside of Krizman but couldn’t take the lead.
