June Race Results

June 2007

Lawrenceburg, Indiana

My dad and I traveled to Lawrenceburg, Indiana on Friday. I went out to practice, and crashed right off the bat on my 50cc.  I bent the handlebars and busted my lip. While racing in the heats, I got a bad start on my 50 cc and charged hard to pass everyone and getting my pick on the line for the finals. I ended up getting fifth in the 85 cc class on my Suzuki RM 65.  Overall, I placed first in the 50cc, first in the 65 cc. It was nice to see my friend, Cody Chisham and Rick Tibbits who I miss racing with in Ohio.

Galion, Ohio

My dad and I headed to Galion on Saturday. They disk the track and it was rough. I ended up placing 1st in the 50 Sr class and 1st in the 65 class. I wish they had not disk the track as they did. The track was nice and smooth a few weeks earlier when I raced there, it was cool seeing my friend, J R from our Jet Racing Team out there on the track riding very well in his classes and placing 1st in his heat race.

Waterford, Ohio

My dad and I traveled to Waterford, Ohio and attended the Pioneer Motorcycle Club Hill Climb. We talked to some of the 50 cc riders from all over Ohio, Indiana, and West Virginia. I took my Honda XR 50 to ride, and the hill was about 225 feet and had two steps. On my first run, I made it over the first step and half way up the hill and flipped over backwards. I ended up 81ft up the hill, not bad for my first hill climb.  My second run, my dad told me how to get a better run up the ill, it was dark, and the lights were one. Having the lights on, really helped myself and all other riders to see the track, it was cool riding under the lights.  I made it up and over the first step, headed towards the second step, started sliding back on the seat and wheeled over backwards at 96 ft. Good thing I know when to let go. It was a good time and my dad and I are going to make some changes to my bike and try it again later this year.

Got something to say?
