How I got started
I was introduced to motocross by my cousins in the hills just east of Rosartito Beach when I was four years old. I began racing locally the following year, primarily at Starwest, and for the next couple of years I could be found there as well as Barona Oaks, Lake Elsinore and El Cajon. This year we spread our wings a little and raced the AMA Southern California Championship Series, a Loretta Lynn area qualifier in Arizona and the KTM Supercross Challenge in Las Vegas.
Goals for the Future
I have just started my come back after a year off due to injuries. I broke my femur in March of 2007 and then shortly after lacerated my liver in August of that year. Although I healed from both after about three months, my family decided that it was wise that I took a little break to ensure that I was strong and healthy when I got back on the bike. Durning my year off I explored lots of other activities including surfing, skateboarding, golf (so much fun), volleyball ( which I now play on a traveling club team), soccer, go-karts (wish we could afford this and MX) and jujitsu.
Also during my year off I outgrew the 65 and we got a brand new 85. In August I got back on my bike and started my slow training for Mammoth 2009. I have been riding one or two times per week at the local Southern California tracks. I have raced a couple local races and even placed first in the 85 open division of my first race back.
