As I was riding at MTF training for Mini O’s, I was practicing a rhythm section in which I overshot the second set, went over the bars and broke my right wrist. I had a comminuted fracture of the radius and chipped a piece off of the ulna. I have five pins through my right wrist that were put in place by Dr Berg at Tallahassee Orthopedic Clinic in Tallahassee, Florida. I broke my wrist on October 31 and expect to have the pins in place for about four weeks, which puts me at November 28^th when the pins are removed. After the pins are removed I will be put in a short arm cast for around two weeks, which puts me at December 12. Once the cast is removed I will then begin physical therapy and hopefully be getting back to riding on a turn track toward the end of December. This injury has prevented me from competing in the Mini O’s and most of the Florida AM series. I am going to try and make it to the last two weekends of the Florida AM series pending my recovery time. On a better note we have finished building the mod race bike with TLR in Florida and have the stock race bike ready. I feel bad for all my sponsors for not being able to represent them at Mini O’s and the beginning of the Florida AM’s series. I still plan to work on qualifying for Loretta Lynn’s and going to Texas for Oak Hill or Lake Whitney in March.
