Overview

How I got started

I got started racing because of my dad, he always loves motorcycles. My first race bike was a CR 80 2002. My first year to race was in 2002. I raced in the Alabama State Championship Series and I finished 8th overall. In 2003, my second year to race, I won the AL State Spring Series Championship for 12-13 85cc. I was also the Runner-Up for the Supermini 85cc-105cc Class in the Series as well. In 2007 I will be starting my fifth year to race.

Goals for the Future

My goals for 2007 are: To finish every race strong and try my best, to qualify for Loretta Lynn`s in 125 B, to try to make it to Ponca City, to go to Lake Whitney, to finish in the top 10 at the Mini O`s and too continue to improve my ability and technique.

Some Personal Information About Me:

My name is Corey Miller and I love to ride!!! I try my best everyday to get faster!!! Throughout my four years of racing I have learned so much. With all the good and bad throughout the sport there`s not one day I have`nt had fun. I try to be in the best shape and have the best attitude for racing. I`m a junior at Hewitt-Trussville High School and I am an A/B honor role student. I want to pursue a future in this sport and I want to be the best at it. I also want to go to college and have a good education to back me in my racing. I`m a Christian and attend church as much as I can with my racing. I'm a member of Mxer's 4 Jesus. I try to set a good example. Overall life is great!

Describe your style...

MY style is unique and cool in my own way. When I first started I used to watch a bunch of pro guy`s. Like McGrath, Windham, Reed, and Carmichael. Just by watching them, I picked up alot of their style and technique. I picked up McGrath`s, Windham`s, and Reed`s smoothness and flow. I picked up Carmichael`s aggressive and determination. I put all of there different style`s and put them into how I ride. I try to look good out on the track so people enjoy watching me ride. So overall my style is silky smooth but aggressive.

Do you train? What does your schedule look like?

I train from 3-5 times a week. I'm currently working with Robb Beams from Toyota, to improve my training and nutrition. My workouts include weight lifting to cardio work.  Training helps me in every way mentally and phiscally. Even though it's not always fun I know that it pays off on the track. It gives me confidence knowing I'm in shape, to do my best.

Why do you compete?

I love the competitive nature and the feeling of this sport. I compete because I like the challenge every time I go to the track. I know I`m not always going to be the best and do everything perfect. That`s why I practice as much as I can. To me there`s no other feeling of winning and the adrenaline of racing. I race with my heart and mind. I put all my hard work and effort into my racing. I take this sport serious and want to make everyday of it the best. Competing is why I love this sport and the feeling of doing your best, winning.
