Overview

How I got started

My Dad took me for a ride on his YZ 250 when I was four and it was so much fun!!! I bugged him to get me a motorcycle and he promised me a PW when I learned to ride my bicycle with no training wheels. My Mom gave me a push and I fell. She gave me another push and that was it!!! I was jumping mud puddles by the time my Dad came home to see me!!! My mom told my Dad that he had to keep his promise. He did and we became an MX family.

Goals for the Future

My goals for 2009 are to win National titles in the 85 12-13, 12-15, Super Mini and 150 4 Stroke classes. I will be training and riding at Millsaps Training Facility this year when I'm not in school. I will be representing Red Bull on their Junior Amateur team (JAMS), American Honda, and Triangle Cycles this year. I will do my best every time that I am on the track. My big goal is to be one of the top pro guys!!!

Some Personal Information About Me:

I love racing motocross but I love winning more. I am thirteen years old, am in in the eighth grade at Morehead Middle School, and have been racing for about eight years. My family supports me and knows what it takes to get me to the next level in this sport. We have some history of motocross in my family as my Grandfather owned a track in 1963-1964. He also raced motocross back then. My Dad rode and raced motocross from 1969-1976. He quit racing in 1976 to pursue a career as a professional surfer. He knows all of the aspects of being a professional. He is my coach, mechanic, and partner in motocross. My Mom is a Physical Education teacher, with a Master`s Degree in Education. She is also my trainer and nutritionist when I am at home and my biggest encourager. Colleen Millsaps is my trainer when I am at MTF and at Nationals. She is just the best. I am very fortunate to be surrounded with such a positive support system. I have experienced some wonderful opportunities in the sport of motocross and have earned thirty five National titles over the past seven years. I started racing a Honda 150 Four Stroke this year and have won two Championships aboard my 150 so far. I love my 150!!! I was invited to the Travis Pastrana Invitational in Puert Rico and won the 85 Supercross class. I was also able to go to the Red Bull Compound and ride with my JAMS teammates Currier and Savatgy before the World Minis in Vegas. That was so cool!!! Milestone had a Ride Day with James Stewart that I was a part of before going to Mammoth Mountain. So I have had some really great opportunities this year. Racer X Magazine featured me in the September '09 issue under Exposure!!!! The 2010 Thor catalog has some photos of me in it too. I broke my wrist while training at Millsaps and will not be racing Lorettas. But I will be ready for Mini O's. Winning is my self motivation.

I competed in the 85 12-13, 12-15, and Super Mini 1 classes in 2008. My speed was there in Texas and I won a moto at Oak Hill. I was hurt in Vegas but came back strong at the area qualifiers and regionals. I finished eighth overall at Loretta's in the 85 Mod class after crashing in practice, getting run over, and riding all week with an injured shoulder. I finished 3rd, 6th, and 8th at Mini O's. This was a challenging  year yet a rewarding year. But in 2007 I won thirteen National Championships so I had a great year!!!

At the 2007 Mini O's I won the Fox Bronze Boot Award along with the Gold Olympiad Championship in the 65 class and the Silver Olympiad Championship in the 85 class. I ended up winning both 65 10-11 MX classesand the 85 Mod MX class. It was a really great week. After returning from Loretta Lynns in 2007 and winning the last moto of the 85 Stock class with a broken thumb, I ended up with a second place overall. I won all three 65 classes at Ponca City and won the 65 class at Mammoth Mountain and got fifth in the 85 class. At the World Mini's, I won all three 65 10-11 Championships and got third in the 85 7-11 Mod class. At Oak Hill I won the 85 7-11 Mod Championship and won the 65 10-11 Mod Championship. I got second in the 65 10-11 Stk class. And at Lake Whitney I won the 65 10-11 Stk Championship and got third in the 65 10-11 Mod and third in the 85 7-11 Mod classes. I went to a photo shoot with Chad Reed and Thor for the 2008 gear!!!It was awesome!!! I am an American Honda Factory Team rider and am so honored and blessed to be a part of such a phenomenal team!!! I am very proud to be a part of the Red Bull Junior Amateur (JAMS) Factory team too!!! And I am a rider for Millsaps Training Facility !!! I was chosen as "Rider of the Month" in June '07 by Millsaps Training Facility. I had a really good 2007 season.

In 2006 I won a National Championship at Loretta Lynn`s in the 65 Mod 7-11 year old class as a 10 year old. I also placed third at Loretta`s in 2006 in the 65 Stock 10-11 year old class. Red Bull awarded me a sponsorship to Millsaps Training Facility (MTF) when I was 9 years old and I continue to be a part of the Red Bull team. Simpson Gear manufactured a Cooper Webb Signature Gear Line that I helped design in 2006. I won the Olympiad Championship at the 2005 Mini O`s in the 65 7-9 Youth Division. I won two motos at Loretta Lynn`s in 2005 and had mechanical failure in the second moto while leading the race. I won two National titles at Oak Hill in the 65 Stock and Mod 7-9 classes. I won four National titles at Branson USA in the 50 Stock and Mod 7-8 classes and the 65 Stock and Mod 6-8 classes last season. I won the 65 Stock 6-8 class in Ponca City last season for another title. I won the seven year old class at the Top Kid Showcase at Monster Mountain in 2003. I also won Loretta Lynn`s in the 50 Shaft class in 2002. I was a Cobra National Team rider when I rode in the 50 classes. I was cast in two Honda commercials with Ricky Carmichael in the summer of 2003 to introduce the 2004 CRF series bikes. Honda also used me in a 2005 Spring Promo commercial. My goals are to do well in school, win more National titles, and to become a top professional motocross racer. I always try my best and I like to make my sponsors proud.
