What a week
WoW, what a long week. I preped the car all week and got in a supervised track day on thursday. from then I headed down to texas world speedway. It was intense! Allot like drinking thru a fire hose, as it was my first race in the car and second time out in it. The car ran great and I learned that I can push it prety hard, as I held it at 100mph around a long sweeper onto the strait where I proceded up to 135mph before diving into a tight section. I qualified 23rd and worked my way up to 18th where there was no one close enough to pass. great experience. The Comma race was intense as I took the lead off the start and held it untill half way thru I skipped a gear on an up hill. I held on to second for the remainder of the race. The car was almost lost into the tires as a driver over cooked it going into a 130 degree corner from a 107 moh downhill straigh on the last lap and got his nose under my left rear tire. It sat back down and luckily made the corner with no dammage. Great experience!! Next race is in Memphis. I am going to try and get some seat time inbetween now and then.
