We went to the Mason County MX on Saturday, 4/12/08. I really liked the atmosphere and the track. My buddy, John Lowe, and his family were there and his son, Austin raced his 65cc KTM. He did very well and seems to like the track. My son, Chance, raced his bike and his brother's (Casey) quad. He got a great big 2nd place trophy for the bike class and a participant trophy for the quad class. Needless to say, he is VERY proud of them. He did really well and is excited about the track too. I raced my new (new to me 2006) KTM 250 SX-F for the first time at a track (first time I'd ridden it at a track) and I really loved it. Compared to my Honda CRF450R, it was like riding a bicycle. It didn't try to kill me everytime I twisted the throttle. I know I'll improve very quickly in the 125cc class and look forward to racing at Mason Co. MX all this season. The track there is incredibly forgiving, yet fast. I love it. The family oriented atmosphere is just like John had told me it would be. I hope to see lots of families there racing and having a great time. |
